  • At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a state visit to Indonesia from 6th to 8th of this month. This will be Prime Minister Modi’s fourth visit to Indonesia.

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated CG Semi’s state-of-the-art Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) plant in Sanand, Gujarat. The event was attended by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, along with global tech leaders.

  • The National Skill Training Institute for Women in Noida, has invited applications for admission to its National Council for Vocational Education and Training for the academic session 2026-27.

  • The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has launched the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction, a comprehensive framework aimed at prevention, awareness generation, capacity building, treatment, rehabilitation, and social reintegration.

  • A six-day state funeral of the former Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, began in Tehran, drawing hundreds of thousands of mourners who gathered to pay their final respects to Iran’s late leader. Mourners offered prayers at the sight of Khamenei’s coffin.

  • A Ukrainian drone attack struck a Russian oil terminal in St Petersburg, with Russian authorities claiming that air defence systems intercepted dozens of drones over the city and surrounding areas.

  • India’s longstanding contribution to global peacekeeping mission received a significant recognition as 651 Indian Army personnel serving under the United Nations have been awarded the prestigious United Nations Medal during a ceremonial Medal Parade held at the Permanent Operating Base Sake.

  • The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has said that the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) in Ukraine has lost its off-site power supply for the 21st time since the start of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

  • Indian Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa produced a stunning finish to the rapid section of the Croatia Grand Chess Tour. He won all three of his matches yesterday to tie for the lead with France’s Alireza Firouzja. Praggnanandhaa defeated Ivan Saric, Bogdan- Daniel Deac and Anish Giri to climb to the top.
