- Union Minister for Labour and Employment Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya chaired the 236th meeting of the Central Board of Trustees (CBT), EPFO, in New Delhi on Saturday.
- The Defence Ministry signed a contract with Cochin Shipyard Limited on Saturday for the short refit and dry docking of INS Vikramaditya at an overall cost of more than 1,200 crore rupees
- Attending the second day of the All-India Director Generals and Inspector Generals of Police Conference being held in Bhubaneswar on Saturday ,Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed diverse national security-related issues with the top police officials and chiefs of different security agencies.
- The Joint Military Exercise Agni Warrior 2024 between Indian Armed Forces and Singapore Armed Forces concluded in Devlali, Maharashtra on Saturday. The three-day event began on the 28th of November.
- The Union Health Ministry has asked states and Union Territories to make snakebite cases and deaths a ‘Notifiable Disease’ under the relevant provisions of the State Public Health Act or other applicable legislation.
- The Election Commission has asserted that all poll procedures it followed in Maharashtra were transparent and assured that it would review all legitimate concerns flagged by the Congress party.
- Central Ministry of Ayush is supporting various activities in Punjab for the development and promotion of AYUSH systems of medicine under the National AYUSH Mission (NAM) by providing financial assistance to the state.
- The Government has said approximately 7.43 crore beneficiaries have been registered under the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP). This program provides life-saving vaccines to pregnant women and children (from birth to 16 years) for 12 vaccine-preventable diseases.

- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended three accused, including a Sub-Inspector, Head Constable, and Constable of Delhi Police, for demanding and accepting a part of the bribe amount one lakh rupees from the complainant.
International Updates
- The Foreign Affairs Adviser of Bangladesh Md Touhid Hossain has said, Bangladesh remains hopeful about maintaining strong relations with India while ensuring that its bilateral interests are safeguarded.
- In Pakistan, 13 more people have been killed in the last two days in sectarian violence in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, taking the death toll in the recent clashes to 124.
- At least 12 people were killed in attacks by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on villages in Sudan’s Gezira State on Friday. According to media reports, the RSF targeted eight villages in the Al-Meheiriba area of western Gezira.
- In Nigeria, at least 27 people were killed and over 100 people went missing after an overcrowded boat transporting them to a food market capsized along the Niger River.
- In Syria, armed opposition forces have captured Aleppo, the country’s second largest city, within days of launching a major offensive in north-western part of the country.
Sports Updates
- In the Syed Modi India International Badminton Tournament, top Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen stormed into the Men’s Singles final. In the semifinals, Sen outclassed Japan’s Shogo Ogawa 21-8, 21-14. Lakshya will take on Singapore’s Jia Heng Jason Teh in the title clash.
- India lost to Pakistan by 43 runs in its first game of the Under-19 Asia Cup 2024 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai, UAE on Saturday.
- In the World Chess Championship, Indian Grandmaster D. Gukesh and reigning champion Ding Liren of China played out a hard-fought draw in the fifth game of their best-of-14 series in Singapore on Saturday.
- The 1st North East Para Sports Meet, held from 27th to 29th November 2024 at Guwahati, witnessed a remarkable performance by the contingent from Sikkim. Eight para-athletes represented Sikkim in four disciplines: Swimming, Athletics, Badminton, and Table Tennis
- Ladakh’s first ice hockey tournament of the season is being held as the 12th Late Lady Stanzin Otzes Inter-Village Ice Hockey Tournament in Durbuk village, located in the Lalok region. The tournament is organized with the aim of encouraging local youth to engage in winter sports.
