National Updates
•Government highlighted that it has approved proposal for 9 One Stop Centres (OSCs) to support distressed Indian women abroad.
•The Congress Working Committee (CWC) met in New Delhi on Friday to discuss the current political situation. Addressing the media after the meeting, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said that the CWC had a detailed discussion including on the recently concluded assembly elections.
•Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the all-India Director Generals and Inspector Generals of Police Conference being held at Bhubaneswar in Odisha. The Conference is being held at the Convention Hall of Lok Seva Bhawan for three days.
•Prasar Bharati Chairman Navneet Kumar Sehgal visited Doordarshan and Akashvani in Chandigarh. He held a meeting with officials to review the functioning of both media organizations.
•Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji, Manoa Kamikamica met External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar in Delhi on Friday. Dr. Jaishankar expressed happiness to hear Mr. Kamikamica’s positive impressions of cooperatives and other development programs in India.
•The Government has fixed a target to open 25,000 Jan Aushadhi Kendra (JAKs) under Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadi Pariyojana (PMBJP) across the country by March 2027.
•Government has informed that in judiciary more than 5,600 post of judges are vacant across the country.
•The government has informed that the doctor-population ratio in the country is around 1:811, which is better than the WHO standard of 1:1000
•National Human Rights Commission, NHRC has taken suo motu cognizance of a media report of a woman committing suicide in the Raidurgam area of Hyderabad in Telangana on 27th of November.
•Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed sadness at the demise of Mangal Munda, a descendant of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. Mangal Munda died at RIMS Ranchi. He was under medical treatment at the state hospital after he met with a road accident on 25th of November in Khunti
•Minister of State for Textiles Pabitra Margherita said that Women Participation in the textile industry has seen a remarkable growth.

•In a second edition of GeoMandu 2024, geotechnical engineers, geoscientists, professionals, and researchers from around the world participated in the International conference organised by the Nepal Geotechnical Society.
•Nepal’s Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba is in China at the invitation of the Chinese Minister for Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi. It is the first visit of Foreign Minister Dr Rana to China since her appointment
•In Sri Lanka, Inflation as measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index on a year-on-year basis, decreased to minus 2.1% in November 2024. Sri Lanka’s Department of Census and Statistics reported that the decrease was compared to the -0.8% recorded in October 2024.
•Chinese, Russian military aircrafts enter South Korea’s air defence zone, Seoul saysEleven Chinese and Russian military aircrafts entered South Korea’s air defence identification zone on Friday over a period of four hours. South Korea’s military said, the breach prompted it to launch fighter jets
•Chad has formally ended a security and defence cooperation accord with France. Foreign Minister of Chad Abderaman Koulamallah in a statement said, the decision was made after an ‘in-depth analysis,’ which marked a ‘historic’ turning point
•Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that social media platforms now have a responsibility to ensure the safety of children, as the country’s parliament passed a bill banning social media use for children under the age of 16 on Thursday.
•The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has ordered to freeze the bank accounts of 17 people associated with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Bangladesh, including its former leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari
•In Cameroon, at least 20 people lost their lives yesterday after a boat capsized in the Far North region. The boat was transporting passengers from Darak Island when the tragedy occurred

•The fourth game of the FIDE Chess World Championship between D. Gukesh and Ding Liren finished in a draw on Friday in Singapore. Both players now have 2 points each. In Game 3, Gukesh managed to level the score at 1.5-1.5 by defeating Liren
•The Tripura Paralympics team bagged 23 medals, including 9 golds, at the Northeast Para Games held in Guwahati. In athletics, visually impaired athlete Md. Amjad Hossain surprised many by finishing with three gold medals to his credit alone
•Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen moved to the semifinals of the Syed Modi International Super 300 badminton tournament. Both ace shuttlers registered straight-game wins at the Babu Banarasi Das Indoor Stadium in Lucknow on Friday to advance to the semis
