The Election Commission has deployed additional counting observers and police observers in West Bengal. A total of 165 additional counting observers have been assigned to assist counting observers, while 77 police observers have been deployed to strengthen security and oversee law and order arrangements.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG for admission to undergraduate medical education will be held today. The examination will begin at 2 PM and will conclude by 5 PM. According to the NEET’s information bulletin, last entry to the examination centre will be allowed till 1:30 PM.

• चुनाव आयोग ने पश्चिम बंगाल के फाल्टा विधानसभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के सहायक मतदान केंद्रों सहित सभी 285 मतदान केंद्रों पर पुनः मतदान कराने का आदेश दिया है। आयोग ने बताया कि मतदान के दौरान गंभीर चुनावी अपराध हुए तथा लोकतांत्रिक प्रक्रिया में बाधा उत्पन्न हुई।
• संचार मंत्री ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया ने भारत की आपातकालीन संचार प्रणालियों को मजबूत करने और सार्वजनिक सुरक्षा बुनियादी ढांचे को बढ़ाने के लिए सेल ब्रॉडकास्ट सिस्टम (सीबीएस) का शुभारंभ किया। सीबीएस टेलीमैटिक्स विकास केंद्र (सी-डीओटी) द्वारा विकसित एक स्वदेशी तकनीक है।
• चुनाव आयोग ने पश्चिम बंगाल में अतिरिक्त मतगणना पर्यवेक्षकों और पुलिस पर्यवेक्षकों को तैनात किया है। गिनती पर्यवेक्षकों की सहायता के लिए कुल 165 अतिरिक्त गिनती पर्यवेक्षकों को नियुक्त किया गया है, जबकि सुरक्षा को मजबूत करने और कानून एवं व्यवस्था व्यवस्था की देखरेख के लिए 77 पुलिस पर्यवेक्षकों को तैनात किया गया है।
• पश्चिम बंगाल में, दक्षिण 24 परगना जिले के 15 बूथों पर आयोजित पुनर्मतदान में लगभग 90 प्रतिशत मतदान दर्ज किया गया। इनमें मगरहाट पश्चिम निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में ११ बूथ और डायमंड हार्बर सीट में चार बूथ शामिल हैं।
• स्नातक चिकित्सा शिक्षा में प्रवेश के लिए राष्ट्रीय पात्रता सह प्रवेश परीक्षा (एनईईटी) यूजी आज आयोजित की जाएगी। परीक्षा दोपहर २ बजे शुरू होगी और शाम ५ बजे तक समाप्त हो जाएगी। एनईईटी के सूचना बुलेटिन के अनुसार, परीक्षा केंद्र में अंतिम प्रवेश दोपहर १:३० बजे तक की अनुमति होगी।
• प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने नीति आयोग के पूर्णकालिक सदस्यों के रूप में डॉ आर बालासुब्रमण्यम और डॉ जोराम अनिया की नियुक्ति को मंजूरी दे दी है। कैबिनेट सचिवालय ने राजपत्र अधिसूचना के माध्यम से नियुक्ति के बारे में जानकारी दी।
• भारतीय मौसम विभाग (आईएमडी) ने आज अरुणाचल प्रदेश, असम, मेघालय, केरल, माहे, नागालैंड, मणिपुर, मिजोरम, त्रिपुरा, उप-हिमालयी पश्चिम बंगाल, सिक्किम, तमिलनाडु, पुडुचेरी और कराईकल में भारी वर्षा का अनुमान लगाया है।
