Saudi Arabia has said that its air defences intercepted and destroyed a Houthi drone near Makkah last evening. The spokesperson for the ‘Coalition Forces to Support Legitimacy in Yemen’, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, described the incident as the second attempted Houthi attack on Makkah.

• केंद्रीय जल शक्ति मंत्री सीआर पाटिल ने जल शक्ति राज्य मंत्री वी सोमन्ना और आवास एवं शहरी मामलों के राज्य मंत्री तोखान साहू के साथ मिलकर स्वच्छता ही सेवा अभियान 2026 का शुभारंभ किया। इस अभियान का विषय है स्वच्छता में सहभाग; स्वच्छ भारत, विक्सित भारत।
• वरिष्ठ अभिनेता अनंत नाग को भारतीय सिनेमा में उनके योगदान और पीढ़ियों को प्रेरित करने वाली शानदार सिनेमाई यात्रा के लिए प्रतिष्ठित दादा साहब फाल्के पुरस्कार 2024 से सम्मानित किया जाएगा। सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्रालय ने घोषणा की।
• छत्तीसगढ़ के जगदलपुर में राष्ट्रीय जांच एजेंसी, एनआईए की विशेष अदालत ने झिराम घाटी मामले में सभी दस दोषियों को मौत की सजा सुनाई। विशेष न्यायाधीश अजय सिंह राजपूत ने फैसला सुनाया। फैसले के खिलाफ अपील करने के लिए दोषियों को तीस दिन का समय दिया गया है।
• सरकार ने गैरकानूनी गतिविधियां (रोकथाम) अधिनियम (यूएपीए) के तहत शहजाद भट्टी नेटवर्क को आतंकवादी संगठन घोषित किया है। यह आतंकवादी समूह युवाओं और छोटे अपराधियों को आतंकवाद के लिए उकसाने के अलावा सीमा पार हथियारों, विस्फोटकों और नशीले पदार्थों की तस्करी में भी संलिप्त है।
