Types of Reading Material (वाचन सामग्री के प्रकार)

1. Books (पुस्तकें)

Description: Bound volumes containing fiction, non-fiction, or academic content.

Types:

Textbooks – Used in schools and colleges for formal education.

Reference Books – Encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases.

Novels – Long fictional narratives.

Biographies/Autobiographies – Life stories of individuals.


2. Magazines (पत्रिकाएँ)

Description: Periodicals published weekly, monthly, or quarterly.

Content: Articles, interviews, stories, lifestyle tips, science & tech, etc.

Examples: India Today, National Geographic, Reader’s Digest.


3. Newspapers (समाचार पत्र)

Description: Daily or weekly publications with news, opinions, and current events.

Sections: Politics, sports, business, editorials, classifieds, entertainment.

Examples: The Hindu, Dainik Bhaskar, Times of India.


4. Journals (जर्नल/आलेख पत्रिकाएँ)

Description: Academic or research-focused periodicals.
