• Mahabharata was originally known as Jaya. 
• Maharishi Vedvyas was the first priest who recited the great Mahabharata; it is said that Lord Ganesha wrote the whole thing on the basis that Maharishi Vedvyas had to repeat continuously those verses which should be repeated without stopping even for a moment.
• Mahabharata was written in a cave in present-day Uttarakhand. 
• According to legend, sage Vyas narrated the story of Mahabharata to Ganesha in a cave located about 3 km from Badrinath, today known as “Ganesh Guh”.
• He was actually cured by the snake bite of Bhima.

• Queen Gandhari had cursed Krishna because she felt that Krishna was responsible for the great war between the families.

• The decision to remain blind helped him gain the power to use his vision to make anyone impenetrable.
• Gandhari’s son was asked to come naked, so that visually the entire body would be impenetrable, but he wore a cloth around his pelvis, which remained unprotected during the battle with Bhima.
