• प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने इससे पहले अपने आवास पर सरकार के सचिवों के साथ दूसरी उच्च स्तरीय बैठक की अध्यक्षता की। बैठक के दौरान प्रधानमंत्री ने वित्त एवं अर्थव्यवस्था, वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग से संबंधित मंत्रालयों एवं विभागों के भावी कार्य एजेंडे की समीक्षा की।
• भारत नाविकों के दुनिया के दूसरे सबसे बड़े आपूर्तिकर्ता के रूप में उभरा है, जिसने वैश्विक शिपिंग उद्योग में तीन लाख ११ हजार से अधिक समुद्री पेशेवरों का योगदान दिया है। बीआईएमसीओ-आईसीएस नाविक कार्यबल रिपोर्ट 2026 के अनुसार, भारत में अब वैश्विक समुद्री कार्यबल का 12.16 प्रतिशत हिस्सा है।
• सरकार ने इस साल १ अगस्त से ३० नवंबर तक देश भर के चीनी डीलरों पर स्टॉकहोल्डिंग सीमा लगाने का फैसला किया है। उपभोक्ता मामले, खाद्य एवं सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्रालय ने कहा कि इस कदम का उद्देश्य जमाखोरी पर अंकुश लगाना तथा सट्टा व्यापार को हतोत्साहित करना है।
