•Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ICA Global Cooperative Conference at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on today. For the first time, in 130 years long history of the International Cooperative Alliance, the Global Cooperative Conference and General Assembly are being organized in India.
•Ahead of Winter session of Parliament beginning today, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has urged members to follow parliamentary decorum in the House taking inspiration from the debates and discussions of Constituent Assembly
•In a significant development, National Consumer Helpline has partnered with over 1,000 companies under its Convergence Programme to expedite grievance resolution. These companies span major sectors, including e-commerce, private education, FMCG, consumer durables, electronic products, retail outlets, etc.
•At the 55th International Film Festival of India, the results of Creative Minds of Tomorrow (CMOT) were announced today. The film Gullu by Team Green won the Best Film Award, which also got the team a cash reward of 5 lakh rupees. Pushpendra Kumar, from the same film, won the Best Actor Award.

•The Kaski District Court in Gandaki Province of Nepal has permitted the Kaski Police to keep the President of Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rabi Lamichhane, in its custody for another 15 days. Lamichhane is in the custody of the Kaski police in a case related to cooperative fraud and organised crime.
•Flash floods have caused severe property damage in northern Afghanistan’s Kunduz province on Saturday. Recent heavy rainfall triggered flash floods on the outskirts of the province’s Aliabad and Khanabad districts.
•US President-elect Donald Trump has selected Brooke Rollins as agriculture secretary. Rollins, is the CEO of the America First Policy Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing Trump’s agenda
