•Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone, inaugurated, and dedicated to the nation multiple development projects worth over 5,000 crore rupees at Durgapur in West Bengal.
•Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has said that all political parties are on board over the issue of the impeachment of Justice Yashwant Varma. A huge pile of cash was recovered from the residence of Justice Varma in New Delhi.
•The first meeting of the Steering Committee for the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) was held at NFDC headquarters in Mumbai. Chaired by Union Information & Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

•प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने पश्चिम बंगाल के दुर्गापुर में 5,000 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक मूल्य की कई विकास परियोजनाओं की आधारशिला रखी, उनका उद्घाटन किया और उन्हें राष्ट्र को समर्पित किया।
•संसदीय मामलों के मंत्री किरेन रिजिजू ने कहा है कि न्यायमूर्ति यशवंत वर्मा के महाभियोग के मुद्दे पर सभी राजनीतिक दल सहमत हैं। नई दिल्ली स्थित न्यायमूर्ति वर्मा के आवास से भारी मात्रा में नकदी बरामद की गई।
•भारत के 56वें अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव (आईएफएफआई) की संचालन समिति की पहली बैठक मुंबई में एनएफडीसी मुख्यालय में आयोजित की गई। अध्यक्षता संघ सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने की।
•संघ की सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव और महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने संयुक्त रूप से मुंबई में एनएफडीसी कॉम्प्लेक्स में भारतीय रचनात्मक प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (आईआईसीटी) के पहले परिसर का उद्घाटन किया।

•Thirty-four Indian fishermen, along with two of their Indian fishing trawlers were apprehended by Bangladesh authorities near Mongla for allegedly crossing the International Maritime Boundary Line and fishing in Bangladeshi territorial waters recently.
•South Africa has rolled out the mpox vaccination programme to curb the spread of the disease. As more laboratory confirmed mpox cases continue to be detected in South Africa, the National Department of Health of the country has announced plans to commence vaccination.
•The European Union has reached an agreement on an 18th sanctions package against Russia over its conflict in Ukraine, targeting the banking, energy, and military-industrial sectors. It also includes a new dynamic oil price cap aimed at delivering further blows to Russia’s oil and energy industry.
•In Sri Lanka, a new 5-megawatt solar power plant was officially inaugurated in Hiripitiya by Energy Minister Kumara Jayakody. Developed by local energy firm, which is a subsidiary of Pan Asian Power Pvt. Ltd., the facility spans 20 acres and is expected to generate 10 gigawatt hours of clean energy.
•The US House of Representatives has passed the Genesis Act, a bill to regulate US dollar-pegged stablecoins, and sent it to President Donald Trump, who is expected to sign it into law. The bill passed with bipartisan support, 308-122, and marks a major step for the crypto industry.
•Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan inked a trilateral agreement on a key rail project, which aims to connect the three countries.

हाल ही में बांग्लादेश के अधिकारियों ने मोंगला के निकट 34 भारतीय मछुआरों तथा उनके दो भारतीय मछली पकड़ने वाले जहाजों को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समुद्री सीमा रेखा पार करने तथा बांग्लादेशी जलक्षेत्र में मछली पकड़ने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया।
•दक्षिण अफ्रीका ने बीमारी के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए एमपॉक्स टीकाकरण कार्यक्रम शुरू किया है। चूंकि दक्षिण अफ्रीका में प्रयोगशाला द्वारा पुष्टि किए गए एमपॉक्स के अधिक मामले सामने आ रहे हैं, इसलिए देश के राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने टीकाकरण शुरू करने की योजना की घोषणा की है।
•यूरोपीय संघ यूक्रेन में रूस के संघर्ष को लेकर उसके खिलाफ 18वें प्रतिबंध पैकेज पर एक समझौते पर पहुंच गया है, जिसमें बैंकिंग, ऊर्जा और सैन्य-औद्योगिक क्षेत्रों को निशाना बनाया गया है। इसमें एक नई गतिशील तेल मूल्य सीमा भी शामिल है जिसका उद्देश्य रूस के तेल और ऊर्जा उद्योग को और अधिक झटका देना है।
•श्रीलंका में, ऊर्जा मंत्री कुमारा जयकोडी द्वारा हिरिपिटिया में एक नए 5 मेगावाट सौर ऊर्जा संयंत्र का आधिकारिक उद्घाटन किया गया। स्थानीय ऊर्जा कंपनी, जो पैन एशियन पावर प्राइवेट लिमिटेड की सहायक कंपनी है, द्वारा विकसित यह सुविधा 20 एकड़ में फैली हुई है और इससे 10 गीगावाट घंटे स्वच्छ ऊर्जा उत्पन्न होने की उम्मीद है।
