The Union Cabinet has approved two projects of the Ministry of Railways with a total cost of six thousand 405 crore rupees. The projects include the doubling of Koderma – Barkakana rail line has been approved at a cost of three thousand and 63 crore rupees.

• भारत और स्वीडन ने स्वच्छ ऊर्जा, डिजिटल प्रौद्योगिकी, जलवायु, स्वास्थ्य सेवा और जीवन विज्ञान के साथ-साथ कौशल विकास सहित विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में सहयोग को मजबूत करने पर चर्चा की है।
• केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने रेल मंत्रालय की दो परियोजनाओं को मंजूरी दी है जिनकी कुल लागत छह हजार ४०५ करोड़ रुपये है। इन परियोजनाओं में कोडरमा-बरकाकाना रेल लाइन को दोगुना करना शामिल है, जिसे तीन हजार 63 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से मंजूरी दी गई है।
• रेल मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि अगले महीने की पहली तारीख से केवल वे उपयोगकर्ता ही आईआरसीटीसी वेबसाइट और ऐप के माध्यम से ऑनलाइन टटकल टिकट बुक कर सकेंगे, जिन्होंने आधार के साथ अपने खाते को प्रमाणित किया है।
• भारत का सामाजिक सुरक्षा कवरेज 2015 में 19 प्रतिशत से बढ़कर 2025 में 64.3 प्रतिशत हो गया है। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम संगठन के ILOSTAT के नवीनतम आंकड़ों के अनुसार, कवरेज पिछले दशक में 45 प्रतिशत अंक की वृद्धि दर्शाता है।
• यूजीसी ने उन संस्थानों को निर्देश दिया है जो छात्रों द्वारा अनिवार्य एंटी-रैगिंग वचनबद्धता और अनुपालन वचनबद्धता प्रस्तुत करने में विफल रहे हैं कि वे एंटी-रैगिंग अनुपालन प्रस्तुत करें और 30 दिनों के भीतर सभी छात्रों से ऑनलाइन वचनबद्धता प्राप्त करें।
• केंद्र ने कच्चे सूरजमुखी, सोयाबीन और ताड़ के तेल सहित कच्चे खाद्य तेल पर मूल सीमा शुल्क को 20 प्रतिशत से घटाकर 10 प्रतिशत कर दिया है।

• अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प ने घोषणा की है कि चीन के साथ व्यापार समझौता इस सप्ताह लंदन में दोनों देशों के बीच हुई वार्ता के बाद हो गया है। व्यापार समझौते के एक भाग के रूप में, चीन अमेरिका को दुर्लभ मृदा तत्वों की अग्रिम आपूर्ति करेगा, जबकि चीनी छात्रों को अमेरिकी वीज़ा मिलेगा।
• दक्षिण कोरिया के राष्ट्रपति ली जे-म्यांग ने सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में उत्तर कोरिया की ओर लाउडस्पीकर प्रसारण को निलंबित करने का आदेश दिया है। राष्ट्रपति कार्यालय ने कहा कि इस कदम का उद्देश्य तनाव कम करना है।
