• Over 50 thousand organisations from across the nation have registered to host Yoga Sangam, scheduled to be held on the 21st of this month, which is a new benchmark for collective participation.

• Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met Chairman of Defense Affairs, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee, Federal National Council of UAE, Dr Ali Alnuaimi. The Indian Embassy in the UAE highlighted that the two reaffirmed their commitment to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted members of the seven all-party delegations which recently visited various countries to convey India’s strong stand against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism after Operation Sindoor.

• Union Power Minister Manohar Lal has said that India successfully met peak power demand of 241 Gigawatt with zero peak shortage. Briefing the media in New Delhi, Mr. Manohar Lal said that India has added it’s the highest-ever generation capacity of 34 Gigawatt during 2024-25.

• The Israeli navy conducted its first direct naval attack on the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah, targeting docks that are a crucial entry point for humanitarian aid into the war-torn country. The Israeli military confirmed its navy missile ships carried out the strikes.

• Five people were killed in a road accident along the N2 highway due to adverse weather conditions. Local media reported that a severe cold front, sweeping across South Africa since the weekend, has brought heavy snowfall, leading to road closures, power outages, and a fatal accident.

• At least two people have been killed and 13 others injured after more than 300 Russian drones and missiles hit Kyiv and Odesa.
