State News

  • Telangana government has issued orders for implementation of the Maha Lakshmi scheme with effect from Saturday. Under the scheme, girls and women of all age groups and transgender persons domiciled in Telangana will be able to freely travel in the State Road Transport Corporation buses.
  • In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces recovered arms and ammunition in the Nowshera area of Rajouri district on Friday.
  • The Directorate of School Education, Jammu announced winter vacations in winter zones of Jammu division in a phased manner from December 11 to February 29 in all Government and recognized private schools.
  • In Mizoram, veteran politician and ZPM leader Lalduhoma was sworn-in as Chief Minister of the hill state today.
