o Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh has said that the world is looking up to India as emerging Biomanufacturing Hub.

o More than one crore 30 lakh people have availed the benefits of the Regional Connectivity Scheme, UDAN so far. The scheme Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) was launched in 2016, which seeks to stimulate regional air connectivity by providing affordable rates for the masses.

o Deputy National Security Adviser (Strategic Affairs), Vikram Misri held consultations with US Principal Deputy National Security Adviser Jonathan Finer in New Delhi today. International News

• Russia launched several waves of drone attacks on Kyiv yesterday overnight for the second night in a row, stepping up its assaults on the Ukrainian capital after several weeks of pause.
• The Israeli military has renewed its calls for mass evacuations around the city of Khan Younis in southern Gaza as it expands its offensive against Hamas today.

• The Philippines has accused China of dangerous actions in South China Sea, after more than 135 Chinese military boats were spotted in the area.
• Yemen-backed Houthi rebels fired ballistic missiles at commercial ships, connected to Israeli shipping giant Abraham Ungar, in the Red Sea on Sunday. No casualties have been reported as of yet.

• In Venezuela, citizens voted in a referendum to seal the fate of a disputed region called Essequibo. More than 95 percent of Venezuelans approved of establishing a new state in the region.

• At the United Nations Climate Conference (COP28) in Dubai, the rifts widened between developing countries that are still dependent on coal.

• Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu are gearing up for heavy rainfall as Cyclone Michaung is likely to turn severe during next the two days. The India Meteorological Department said the Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved northwestwards.
• India Meteorological Department, IMD has said that Severe Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” (pronounced as MIGJAUM) formed over the Bay of Bengal is likely to cross the South Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Machilipatnam near Bapatla with a maximum wind speed of 90 to 100 kilometer per hour tomor

• Red alert issued in all coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh as Cyclone Michaung intensifies; Tamilnadu Govt declaresa public holiday
• The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is underway in different Gram Panchayats of Bihar. The second phase of this pan-India campaign was inaugurated by Governor Rajendra Viswanath Arllekar on 30th November.

• The Telangana State government has issued orders posting Director General, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Ravi Gupta as Director General of Police and head of Police Force, with full additional charge, with immediate effect.
