• The all party delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad reached Delhi after successfully concluding its visit to Germany. The delegation carried forward India’s strong message of zero-tolerance against terrorism.

• The Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO) Vehicle Research and Development Establishment (VRDE) in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, has transferred technologies of nine defence systems to 10 Indian industries.

• Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi visited forward posts in the Garhwal region to review the operational and administrative readiness of forces deployed in the forward areas of Garhwal, Uttarakhand. During his visit, the Chief of the Army Staff interacted with troops.

• External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar embarks on 7-day visit to France, EU & Belgium.

• Israel has promised to stop a charity ship from entering the Gaza Strip with international activists and humanitarian aid, including Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg. The pro-Palestinian Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) organized the British-flagged yacht Madleen, which left Sicily on June 6.

• Italians head to the polls for a referendum that could significantly change the country’s citizenship and labour laws. Voting began and will conclude today, with the government of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni strongly opposing both proposed reforms.

• Russia has announced today that its forces have advanced to the edge of the east-central Ukrainian region of Dnipropetrovsk, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict.

• Colombia’s right-wing presidential candidate, 39-year-old Senator Miguel Uribe Turbay, was shot multiple times during a campaign event in the capital, Bogotá. The attack occurred while Uribe was addressing a small crowd in a park.

• US President Donald Trump has ordered the deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops in Los Angeles to help manage the unrest over raids on undocumented migrants. The city saw a second day of unrest as residents of a predominantly Latino district clashed with Immigration and Customs Enforcement department.

• Ukrainian officials have denied Russia’s claim that Kyiv is delaying a prisoner exchange.

• In Hockey, the Indian men’s team went down 1-2 against the Netherlands in the FIH Pro League at the Wagener Hockey Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands.

• In Women’s Single at the French Open Tennis 2025, American tennis star Coco Gauff defeated world number one Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka 6-7(5), 6-2, 6-4 in a thrilling final, clinching her maiden gold.
