• India has significantly reduced its average applied tariffs for key developed countries such as Australia, the UAE, Switzerland, and Norway under recently concluded, mutually beneficial bilateral trade agreements.

• Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Chairman Manoj Kumar distributed over two thousand and fifty bee boxes and honey colonies across six states under the Honey Mission. He also distributed toolkits to 205 beekeepers through video conference from KVIC’s Rajghat office in Delhi.

• PM Modi Distributes ₹450 Crore to 2.5 Lakh Women at Lakhpati Didi Sammelan in Gujarat.

• The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a thunderstorm accompanied by lightning at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal today. According to the weather agency, light to moderate rainfall or snowfall is also expected over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan.

• The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) released a study titled Enabling Women’s Participation in India’s Logistics Sector.

• भारत ने हाल ही में संपन्न पारस्परिक रूप से लाभप्रद द्विपक्षीय व्यापार समझौतों के तहत ऑस्ट्रेलिया, संयुक्त अरब अमीरात, स्विट्जरलैंड और नॉर्वे जैसे प्रमुख विकसित देशों के लिए अपने औसत लागू टैरिफ में काफी कमी की है।
• खादी और ग्रामोद्योग आयोग (केवीआईसी), अध्यक्ष मनोज कुमार ने हनी मिशन के तहत छह राज्यों में दो हजार पचास से अधिक मधुमक्खी बक्से और शहद कॉलोनियों का वितरण किया। उन्होंने दिल्ली में केवीआईसी के राजघाट कार्यालय से वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस के माध्यम से २०५ मधुमक्खी पालकों को टूलकिट भी वितरित किए।
• पीएम मोदी ने गुजरात के लखपति दीदी सम्मेलन में ₹450 करोड़ से 2.5 लाख महिलाओं को वितरित किया।
• भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (आईएमडी) ने आज उप-हिमालयी पश्चिम बंगाल में अलग-अलग स्थानों पर बिजली गिरने के साथ तूफान आने का अनुमान लगाया है। मौसम एजेंसी के अनुसार, जम्मू-कश्मीर, लद्दाख, गिलगित, बाल्टिस्तान में भी हल्की से मध्यम वर्षा या बर्फबारी होने का अनुमान है।

• The death toll from fighting in Syria’s coastal Latakia region had risen to over 500, as transitional government forces continued to battle an uprising carried out by armed loyalists to ousted leader Bashar al-Assad.

• The Italian government approved a draft law that, for the first time, introduces the legal definition of femicide in the country’s criminal law and punishes it with life imprisonment. Announced on the eve of International Women’s Day, the move aims to combat rising violence against women in Italy.

• Iran has rejected French President Emmanuel Macron’s remarks that Russia has used Iranian military equipment against Ukraine. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei, in a statement, said that the repetition of such baseless and incorrect accusations by French officials was irresponsible.

• Approximately 82.1 million people in East and Central Africa are currently facing food insecurity and urgently require humanitarian aid. According to the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), over 53.1 million of those affected reside in seven of the eight IGAD member states.

• In chess, 18-year-old Indian Grandmaster Pranav Venkatesh dominated the FIDE World Junior Championship 2025 to claim the title in Montenegro.
