• Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with the Netherlands Prime Minister Rob Jetten. In a social media post, Mr Modi said that during their conversation, they discussed ways to further strengthen India-Netherlands ties.

• External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar held a meeting with members of the European Parliament, led by Member of the European Parliament Angelika Niebler, in New Delhi.

• Government assured that the country has sufficient stock of Fertilizers, amid the West Asia conflict.

• The Lok Sabha has passed the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Bill, 2025 with a voice vote. The Bill, which was initially referred to a Select Committee, has been introduced to further amend the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016, to address procedural delays and interpretational issues.

• A total of over one crore loans amounting to 17,115 crore rupees have been disbursed to street vendor beneficiaries under the PM SVANidhi scheme so far. The scheme was launched in June 2020 to provide collateral-free working capital term loans to urban street vendors.

• India and Russia reviewed the full spectrum of Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership and shared perspectives on bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest in New Delhi.

• The Rajya Sabha took up the Central Armed Police Forces (General Administration) Bill, 2026, for consideration and passing. The bill aims to regulate the general rules governing the recruitment and conditions of service of Group A General Duty Officers and other officers in the Central Armed Police Force.

• Spain has closed its airspace to US aircraft linked to the Iran conflict. Spanish Defence Minister Margarita Robles confirmed that Madrid had already barred the United States from using jointly operated military bases in Spain for operations connected to the West Asia crisis.

• NASA has completed the final preparations for its Artemis II mission, set to launch as early as April 1 from the Kennedy Space Center. This mission will be the first crewed flight of NASA’s Artemis program, taking four astronauts on a roughly 10-day journey around the Moon.

• Myanmar’s junta chief, Min Aung Hlaing, has been nominated as President of Myanmar through a parliamentary process, marking a formal transition from his role as military chief to head of state.

• Russia has expelled a British diplomat on allegations of espionage, ordering him to leave the country within two weeks.
