• High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Pranay Verma paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and conveyed New Delhi’s intention to work closely with the country’s newly formed government.    

• Afghanistan has summoned the Pakistani ambassador to Kabul following the overnight airstrikes by Pakistan in eastern Afghanistan. The Foreign Ministry condemned the strikes as a violation of Afghan airspace, stating they targeted civilian areas in Nangarhar and Paktika provinces.

• Hungary has threatened to block the European Union’s 20th sanctions package against Russia, saying it will not support further measures until Russian oil deliveries to Hungary resume. In a video statement, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó accused Ukraine of deliberately halting oil transition.

• Zimbabwe has begun rolling out lenacapavir, a long-acting injectable HIV prevention medicine. HIV has led to tens of thousands of deaths over the past two decades in the country. It is one of the first countries to offer a twice-yearly shot providing six months’ protection.
