2007 – चिली में 7.7 तीव्रता का भीषण भूकम्प आया। एरियाना-5 रॉकेट ने ब्रिटेन व ब्राजील के दूरसंचार उपग्रहों को अंतरिक्ष में स्थापित किया।

2008 – भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के पूर्व गर्वनर वाई वेणुगोपाल रेड्डी को वैश्विक वित्तीय प्रणाली में सुधार की जाँच के लिए संयुक्त राष्ट्र द्वारा गठित टास्क फोर्स में शामिल किया गया। योगेन्द्र मकबाल ने राष्ट्रीय बहुजन कांग्रेस के नाम से नई पार्टी बनाई।
