“Whatever Happens, Happens for the Best”

Once King Akbar and his advisor Birbal went on hunting. While hunting, Akbar accidentally cut his finger. He was in immense pain. Birbal who was, standing next to King Akbar said, It will be fine, the pain will go away. Don’t be disappointed my lord. There is a famous saying “Whatever happens, happens for the best.” On hearing these words from Birbal, Akbar gave a furious look. Akbar shouted in a fierce tone, “How dare you Birbal?” I am in such unbearable pain. Your king just lost his thumb and you are preaching me your ridiculous theory. Akbar commanded solders, “Take him out of my sight, put him behind the bars!” Soldiers obeyed the king and proceeded to their country with Birbal. Akbar headed to the forest on his own.

On his way, seeing him alone tribal ambushed King Akbar. King was captivated. They took him to the tribal chief. The chief said, “Now you will be offered to our goddess.” And he took a good look at him. Suddenly his voice raised and he was shouting in loud tone, Morons!! Don’t you see, he has nine fingers? fragmented!!!!, unsuitable for an offering. Tribal released him in the jungle.

He came back to his palace. He realized his mistake. He said in an apologetic tone, You were right, I regret my decision of throwing you behind the bars! I feel like a fool!

Birbal said, “Whatever happens, happens for the best. “If you hadn’t sent me to jail then, I would have been in jungle with you. The tribal would have killed me; I am not fragmented, perfectly suitable for the offering. You saved my life, Lord! Akbar nodded his head in agreement.
