• भारतीय मौसम विभाग आईएमडी ने कहा है कि चक्रवाती तूफान मोन्था कमजोर होकर तटीय आंध्र प्रदेश और निकटवर्ती तेलंगाना में गहरे दबाव में बदल गया है। आईएमडी ने कहा कि तटीय आंध्र प्रदेश में चक्रवाती तूफान पिछले छह घंटों के दौरान उत्तर-उत्तरपश्चिम की ओर बढ़ गया, कमजोर होकर गहरे अवसाद में बदल गया।
• चुनाव आयोग ने नागरिकों के सभी प्रश्नों और शिकायतों का समाधान करने के उद्देश्य से राष्ट्रीय मतदाता हेल्पलाइन और सभी 36 राज्य और जिला-स्तरीय हेल्पलाइनों को सक्रिय कर दिया है।
• कोयला एवं खान मंत्री जी. किशन रेड्डी ने नई दिल्ली में वाणिज्यिक कोयला खदान नीलामी की 14वीं किश्त का वर्चुअल शुभारंभ किया।

• श्रीलंका के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति रानिल विक्रमसिंघे को राज्य के धन के कथित दुरुपयोग की चल रही जांच के सिलसिले में 28 जनवरी, 2026 को अदालत में पेश होने का आदेश दिया गया है।
• नेपाल की प्रधानमंत्री सुशीला कार्की के आह्वान पर बुधवार को सरकार, राजनीतिक दलों और जेन जेड के प्रतिनिधियों के बीच त्रिपक्षीय चर्चा हुई। चर्चा में राजनीतिक दलों के कम से कम 16 प्रतिनिधियों और जेन जेड के 14 प्रतिनिधियों ने भाग लिया।
• पूरे नेपाल में नर्सें अपने वेतन और भत्तों की समीक्षा की मांग को लेकर बुधवार को देश भर में विरोध प्रदर्शन कर रही हैं। विरोध प्रदर्शन दो सप्ताह पहले पोखरा के मणिपाल अस्पताल और गंडकी अस्पताल से शुरू हुआ था।
• कृषि एवं प्रसंस्कृत खाद्य उत्पाद निर्यात विकास प्राधिकरण, एपीईडीए ने कर्नाटक और तमिलनाडु से यूनाइटेड किंगडम तक जीआई टैग वाली इंडी और पुलियानकुडी नीबू की पहली हवाई शिपमेंट की सुविधा प्रदान की है।
• भारत और नेपाल ने आज विद्युत सहयोग को बढ़ावा देने तथा क्षेत्रीय ऊर्जा व्यापार और कनेक्टिविटी बढ़ाने के लिए नई सीमा पार ट्रांसमिशन लाइनें विकसित करने के लिए दो प्रमुख समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किए। भारत के पावरग्रिड और नेपाल विद्युत प्राधिकरण के बीच समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए हैं।
• रूस ने अपने नए परमाणु ऊर्जा चालित और परमाणु क्षमता संपन्न अंडरवाटर ड्रोन, पोसाइडन का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया है, तथा घोषणा की है कि इसे रोकना असंभव है।
• सैन्य एवं सैन्य तकनीकी सहयोग पर भारत-रूस अंतर-सरकारी आयोग के सैन्य सहयोग पर कार्य समूह की 5वीं बैठक नई दिल्ली में आयोजित की गई। बैठक के दौरान दोनों पक्षों के बीच चल रही रक्षा गतिविधियों को मजबूत करने पर चर्चा केंद्रित रही।
• अमेरिका और दक्षिण कोरिया एक व्यापक व्यापार समझौते पर पहुंच गए हैं, दोनों देशों ने अपने नेताओं के बीच बातचीत के बाद कहा। दक्षिण कोरिया के राष्ट्रपति के सहयोगी किम योंग-बीओम ने कहा कि दोनों पक्ष पारस्परिक संबंध बनाए रखेंगे
