- Iron ore production has registered a growth of 4.1 per cent from April to October in the financial year 2024-25. Ministry of Mines said that the production of iron ore increased to 158.4 million metric tonnes as compared to 152.1 million metric tonnes during the same period last financial year.
- The Supreme Court ordered that Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), currently in force to tackle the severe air quality in Delhi, will continue till the 2nd of December.

- More than one million people in Ukraine have been reportedly left without power after Russia launched a massive strike on the country’s energy grid overnight. At least 12 areas across Ukraine, including three western regions, have been hit.
- In Bangladesh, the High Court refused to intervene in the ISKCON-related violence issues after being informed that the authorities concerned have taken necessary measures in this regard.
- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) Board of Governors has unanimously elected Masato Kanda as ADB’s 11th President. Kanda currently serves as Special Advisor to Japan’s Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.
