• विश्व खाद्य भारत २०२५ एक लाख करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की निवेश प्रतिबद्धताओं के साथ नई दिल्ली में संपन्न हुआ, जो भारत के खाद्य प्रसंस्करण क्षेत्र में सबसे बड़ी घोषणाओं में से एक है। चार दिवसीय कार्यक्रम में 26 अग्रणी घरेलू और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कंपनियों ने समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
• भारतीय सेना 199वां गनर्स दिवस मना रही है। आर्टिलरी रेजिमेंट के इतिहास में 28 सितंबर की तारीख का विशेष महत्व है क्योंकि 1827 में इसी दिन 5 (बॉम्बे) माउंटेन बैटरी का गठन किया गया था।

• फ्रांस के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति निकोलस सरकोजी को भ्रष्टाचार और प्रभाव फैलाने के आरोप में पांच साल जेल की सजा सुनाई गई है। यह पहली बार है जब किसी पूर्व फ्रांसीसी राष्ट्रपति को जेल की सजा मिली है।
• पोलैंड ने देश की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने से संबंधित अनियोजित सैन्य गतिविधि का हवाला देते हुए लड़ाकू विमानों को भेजा तथा दक्षिण-पूर्वी शहरों ल्यूबलिन और रेज्ज़ोव के ऊपर अपना हवाई क्षेत्र बंद कर दिया। यह कदम यूक्रेन पर रूस के रात भर के बड़े हमले के बाद उठाया गया।
• संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका ने न्यूयॉर्क में फिलिस्तीन समर्थक प्रदर्शन के दौरान लापरवाह और भड़काऊ व्यवहार का हवाला देते हुए कोलंबियाई राष्ट्रपति गुस्तावो पेट्रो का वीजा रद्द करने की योजना की घोषणा की है।
• ईरान ने कहा है कि समझौते के तहत हटाए गए संयुक्त राष्ट्र के प्रतिबंधों को फिर से लागू किए जाने से कुछ घंटे पहले संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका 2015 के परमाणु समझौते को पुनर्जीवित करने के प्रयासों को रोक रहा है।
• राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प ने आव्रजन हिरासत केंद्रों को निशाना बनाकर किए जा रहे विरोध प्रदर्शनों को दबाने के लिए पोर्टलैंड, ओरेगन में अमेरिकी सैनिकों की तैनाती का आदेश दिया है, तथा आवश्यकता पड़ने पर पूर्ण बल प्रयोग की अनुमति दी है।

• निशानेबाजी में भारत की अनुष्का थोकुर ने दिल्ली के डॉ. करनी सिंह रेंज में आईएसएसएफ जूनियर विश्व कप में महिलाओं की 50 मीटर राइफल 3-पोजिशन स्पर्धा में स्वर्ण पदक जीता। यह प्रतियोगिता में थोकुर का दूसरा स्वर्ण पदक था, इससे पहले उन्होंने 50 मीटर राइफल प्रोन स्पर्धा में जीत हासिल की थी।
• दिल्ली के पूर्व कप्तान मिथुन मन्हास को आज वार्षिक आम बैठक के दौरान भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (बीसीसीआई) का नया अध्यक्ष चुना गया है। मन्हास रोजर बिन्नी के स्थान पर बोर्ड के 37वें अध्यक्ष बने, जिन्होंने 70 वर्ष के होने के बाद पिछले महीने पद छोड़ दिया था।
