• रक्षा मंत्रालय तमिलनाडु रक्षा औद्योगिक गलियारे में यांत्रिक और सामग्री क्षेत्र में एक परीक्षण सुविधा स्थापित करेगा। मंत्रालय ने तमिलनाडु औद्योगिक विकास निगम लिमिटेड के साथ सुविधा स्थापित करने के लिए एक समझौता ज्ञापन – समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
• जम्मू-कश्मीर में, मध्य कश्मीर के श्रीनगर जिले के हरवान क्षेत्र में लिडवास मुलनार के जंगलों के ऊपरी इलाकों में भीषण मुठभेड़ में तीन अज्ञात आतंकवादी मारे गए। यह क्षेत्र श्रीनगर शहर के बाहरी इलाके में है।
• सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने विशेष गहन संशोधन के लिए अधिसूचित कार्यक्रम के अनुसार चुनाव आयोग को 1 अगस्त को बिहार के लिए मतदाता सूची का मसौदा प्रकाशित करने से रोकने से इनकार कर दिया।
• पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्री डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह ने आज पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्रालय के तहत विभिन्न संस्थानों द्वारा विकसित 14 प्रमुख उत्पादों और पहलों का शुभारंभ किया। इनमें वर्षा निगरानी और फसल-मौसम कैलेंडर, उन्नत मौसम पूर्वानुमान प्रणालियाँ आदि शामिल हैं।
