The Indian Meteorological Department has said that cyclone storm Montha is likely to move north-northwestwards and intensify into a severe cyclonic storm by today morning. It is expected to cross Andhra Pradesh coast between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam around Kakinada during evening.

The Election Commission announced that the second phase of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls will be conducted in 12 states and Union Territories. The states and union territories are the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala.

Indian Navy will commission its indigenously built Survey Vessel Ikshak at Naval Base Kochi on the 6th of next month. Defence Ministry said that Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi will preside over the ceremony.

- Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met EU Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security Maros Sefcovic. In a social media post, Mr Goyal said that the discussions focused on giving impetus to the India-EU FTA negotiations.
- More than 15,000 urban leaders, policymakers, and innovators from over 600 cities worldwide converged Expo city Dubai as the 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum officially opened, marking a historic first for the event in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia region.
- President of Nepal Ram Chandra Poudel administered oath of office and secrecy to two newly appointed ministers in Shital Niwas, Kathmandu. Dr Sudha Sharma Gautam becomes the new Minister of Health and Population, and Bablu Gupta, the Minister of Youth and Sports.
- External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar met Foreign Minister of Vietnam M Le Hoai Trung on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit in Malaysia. In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar said that the two leaders discussed deepening of Strategic partnership and bilateral economic engagement.

• भारतीय मौसम विभाग ने कहा है कि चक्रवात तूफान मोन्था के आज सुबह तक उत्तर-उत्तरपश्चिम की ओर बढ़ने और गंभीर चक्रवाती तूफान में तब्दील होने की संभावना है। शाम के समय इसके काकीनाडा के आसपास मछलीपट्टनम और कलिंगपट्टनम के बीच आंध्र प्रदेश तट को पार करने की उम्मीद है।
• चुनाव आयोग ने घोषणा की कि मतदाता सूचियों के विशेष गहन संशोधन (एसआईआर) का दूसरा चरण 12 राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में आयोजित किया जाएगा। राज्य और केंद्र शासित प्रदेश अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह, लक्षद्वीप, छत्तीसगढ़, गोवा, गुजरात, केरल हैं।
• भारतीय नौसेना अगले महीने की 6 तारीख को कोच्चि नौसेना बेस पर अपने स्वदेशी रूप से निर्मित सर्वेक्षण पोत इक्षक को चालू करेगी। रक्षा मंत्रालय ने कहा कि नौसेना प्रमुख एडमिरल दिनेश कुमार त्रिपाठी समारोह की अध्यक्षता करेंगे।
• सरकार ने केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह से संबंधित एक वीडियो का खंडन किया है, जिसे सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म पर प्रसारित किया जा रहा है, जिसमें दावा किया गया है कि श्री शाह ने भारतीय सेना के भगवाकरण की इच्छा व्यक्त की है।

• संघ के वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने यूरोपीय संघ के व्यापार एवं आर्थिक सुरक्षा आयुक्त मारोस सेफकोविक से मुलाकात की। एक सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में श्री गोयल ने कहा कि चर्चा भारत-यूरोपीय संघ एफटीए वार्ता को गति देने पर केंद्रित थी।
• 2025 एशिया प्रशांत शहर शिखर सम्मेलन और मेयर्स फोरम के आधिकारिक रूप से उद्घाटन के अवसर पर दुनिया भर के 600 से अधिक शहरों के 15,000 से अधिक शहरी नेता, नीति निर्माता और नवप्रवर्तक एक्सपो शहर दुबई में एकत्रित हुए, जो मध्य पूर्व, अफ्रीका और दक्षिण एशिया क्षेत्र में इस आयोजन के लिए एक ऐतिहासिक पहली बार हुआ।
