• लेह-मनाली राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग को सभी प्रकार के यातायात के लिए बंद कर दिए जाने, लेह-श्रीनगर राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग पर केवल हल्के मोटर वाहनों के लिए यातायात नियंत्रित कर दिए जाने तथा खुशोक बकुला रिनपोछे में उड़ान परिचालन रद्द कर दिए जाने के कारण लद्दाख लगातार तीसरे दिन देश के बाकी हिस्सों से कटा रहा।
• भारतीय विशिष्ट पहचान प्राधिकरण- यूआईडीएआई ने देश भर के स्कूलों से 5 से 15 वर्ष की आयु के बच्चों के लिए समय पर आधार अनिवार्य बायोमेट्रिक अपडेट-एमबीयू सुनिश्चित करने का आह्वान किया है।
• आर्थिक मामलों की कैबिनेट समिति ने कर्नाटक, तेलंगाना, बिहार और असम को लाभ पहुंचाने वाली तीन परियोजनाओं की मल्टी-ट्रैकिंग और गुजरात के कच्छ के दूर-दराज के इलाकों को जोड़ने के लिए एक नई रेल लाइन को मंजूरी दी।

• टोक्यो में लगातार 10वें दिन तापमान 35°C या उससे अधिक दर्ज किया गया, जिसने जापान के अब तक के सबसे गर्म जून और जुलाई के बीच एक नया रिकॉर्ड स्थापित किया। सेंट्रल टोक्यो में तापमान 36.0°C तक पहुंच गया, जबकि साइतामा में हातोयामा टाउन में तापमान 39.4°C तक पहुंच गया।
• संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका को भारतीय निर्यात पर अतिरिक्त 25 प्रतिशत का शुल्क कल से लागू हो गया। अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने इससे पहले १ अगस्त की समय सीमा से पहले दोनों देशों के बीच समझौता नहीं होने के बाद भारतीय आयात पर २५ फीसदी टैरिफ की घोषणा की थी।
• रूस ने रात भर छह यूक्रेनी क्षेत्रों में ऊर्जा और गैस परिवहन बुनियादी ढांचे पर बड़े पैमाने पर ड्रोन हमला किया। मीडिया रिपोर्टों के अनुसार, रूसी सेना ने पोल्टावा क्षेत्र में गैस परिवहन बुनियादी ढांचे को काफी नुकसान पहुंचाया तथा एक प्रमुख सबस्टेशन के उपकरणों पर हमला किया।
• वेनेजुएला के रक्षा मंत्री व्लादिमीर पैड्रिनो ने देश के कैरेबियाई तट पर गश्त के लिए सैन्य ड्रोन और नौसैनिक जहाजों की तैनाती की घोषणा की है। यह कदम संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका के साथ बढ़ते तनाव के बीच उठाया गया है, जिसने हाल ही में वेनेजुएला के जलक्षेत्र के निकट एक नौसैनिक बल भेजा था।
