• The government has debunked a video circulating on social media claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is promoting an investment platform promising easy monetary benefits. The Fact check unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) informed that the video is fake and AI generated.

• The Railway Protection Force of the Northeast Frontier Railway has seized nearly 60 kilograms of ganja, worth over 29 lakh rupee, during intensified anti-narcotics operations conducted between 20th and 22nd of this month.

• Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita attended the State Banquet hosted by the Government of Tuvalu during his first official visit.

• The government has said that domestic LPG cylinder deliveries remain normal in the country with more than 51.8 lakh domestic LPG cylinders delivered.

• The US Department of Justice has said that Cole Allen, the suspect in an attempted assassination of President Donald Trump, will appear in a federal court today for an initial hearing. FBI Director Kash Patel said the bureau is conducting a full investigation into Allen’s background and motives.

• Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi returned to Islamabad as Pakistan’s political and military leadership scrambled to reignite ceasefire talks between Tehran and Washington.

• Veteran Indian businessman Vasu Shroff, widely known as Dubai’s textile king, has passed away at the age of 85. He died at his residence in Satwa. Shroff was among the early generation of entrepreneurs who witnessed and contributed to the UAE’s transformation from the Trucial States.

• Pakistan has been ranked among the world’s top 10 countries facing acute hunger. The 2026 Global Report on Food Crises places it alongside countries such as Afghanistan, Nigeria and Yemen as major centres of food insecurity.
