• फिजी के प्रधान मंत्री सितिवनी लिगामामदा राबुका ने नई दिल्ली के राष्ट्रपति भवन में राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू से मुलाकात की। राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने कहा, भारत प्रशांत द्वीप देशों के साथ अपने संबंधों और विकास साझेदारी को मजबूत करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।
• भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के गवर्नर संजय मल्होत्रा ने कहा कि आज भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था मजबूत समष्टि आर्थिक बुनियादी ढांचे की विशेषता रखती है। मुंबई में एफआईबीएसी २०२५ सम्मेलन को संबोधित करते हुए राज्यपाल ने कहा, कोविड के बाद अर्थव्यवस्था में जोरदार उछाल आया और लगभग ८ प्रतिशत की औसत वार्षिक वृद्धि दर्ज की गई।
• नौसेना इस महीने की २७ और २८ तारीख को केरल के कोच्चि में दक्षिणी नौसेना कमान में ‘हिंद महासागर नौसेना संगोष्ठी’ (आईओएनएस) के तत्वावधान में ‘उभरते नेताओं पैनल चर्चा’ का आयोजन करेगी।
• केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (सीबीआई) ने फरार आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है, जो ऑपरेशन चक्र के तहत अंतरराष्ट्रीय साइबर धोखाधड़ी सिंडिकेट में वांछित सरगना है। एजेंसी ने आरोपी को आव्रजन अधिकारियों की मदद से नई दिल्ली के आईजीआई हवाई अड्डे पर उस समय रोका जब वह भागने का प्रयास कर रहा था।
• श्रम एवं रोजगार मंत्रालय ने इस बात पर जोर दिया है कि भारत में महिलाओं की रोजगार दर 2017-18 से 2023-24 के बीच लगभग दोगुनी हो गई है। आवधिक श्रम बल सर्वेक्षण (पीएलएफएस) के अनुसार, महिला बेरोजगारी दर 2017-18 में 5.6 प्रतिशत से गिरकर 2023-24 में 3.2 प्रतिशत हो गई है।
• भारत समुद्री सप्ताह 27 से 31 अक्टूबर तक मुंबई में आयोजित किया जाएगा। इस आयोजन में १०० से अधिक देशों के लगभग एक लाख प्रतिनिधि भाग लेंगे।
• कर्मचारी चयन आयोग ने दोहराया कि आयोग निष्पक्ष और पारदर्शी परीक्षा आयोजित करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। नई दिल्ली में मीडिया को जानकारी देते हुए एसएससी के अध्यक्ष एस. गोपालकृष्णन ने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि आयोग ने तकनीकी गड़बड़ियों और कदाचारों को सुधारने के लिए कई कदम उठाए हैं।

• भारत और अल्जीरिया ने आज सेना प्रमुख जनरल उपेंद्र द्विवेदी की उत्तरी अफ्रीकी देश की आधिकारिक यात्रा के दौरान द्विपक्षीय रक्षा सहयोग को बढ़ावा देने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाया। इस यात्रा का उद्देश्य भारत और अल्जीरिया के बीच रक्षा और सुरक्षा संबंधों को सुदृढ़ करना है।
• भारत और फिजी ने आतंकवाद पर दोहरे मानकों को खारिज करके इसके प्रति शून्य सहिष्णुता दोहराई है। नई दिल्ली में प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी और फिजी के प्रधानमंत्री सितिवेनी राबुका के बीच द्विपक्षीय वार्ता के दौरान दोनों नेताओं ने आतंकवाद के खिलाफ सहयोग को मजबूत करने पर सहमति व्यक्त की।

• दो बार की ओलंपिक पदक विजेता भारतीय निशानेबाज मनु भाकर कजाकिस्तान के शिमकेंट में एशियाई शूटिंग चैम्पियनशिप में महिलाओं की २५ मीटर पिस्टल प्रतियोगिता में चौथे स्थान पर रहीं। भाकर ने 25 रन बनाए, जो वियतनाम के कांस्य पदक विजेता थू विन्ह त्रिन्ह (29) से चार कम थे।
