The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal today. Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Konkan, Goa, and Maharashtra can also witness rainfall.

• भारतीय मौसम विभाग (आईएमडी) ने आज तटीय और दक्षिण आंतरिक कर्नाटक, केरल, माहे, तमिलनाडु, पुडुचेरी और कराईकल में अलग-अलग स्थानों पर भारी से बहुत भारी वर्षा का अनुमान लगाया है। अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह, कोंकण, गोवा और महाराष्ट्र में भी वर्षा देखी जा सकती है।
• भारत जापान को पीछे छोड़कर दुनिया की चौथी सबसे बड़ी अर्थव्यवस्था बन गया है। नीति आयोग के सीईओ बी.वी.आर. सुब्रह्मण्यम ने कहा, भारत अब अगले २.५ से ३ वर्षों में जर्मनी को तीसरे स्थान से विस्थापित करने के लिए तैयार है।
• प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी), दिल्ली क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय ने मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग रोकथाम अधिनियम के प्रावधानों के तहत जेपी इन्फ्राटेक लिमिटेड और जयप्रकाश एसोसिएट्स लिमिटेड-जेएएल और संबंधित संस्थाओं से जुड़ी जांच के संबंध में कई स्थानों पर तलाशी अभियान चलाया।
• नई दिल्ली में आयोजित राइजिंग नॉर्थ ईस्ट इन्वेस्टर्स समिट 2025 में 4 लाख करोड़ रुपये से अधिक मूल्य के निवेश प्रस्ताव आए। दो दिवसीय शिखर सम्मेलन में जापान से लेकर यूरोप और आसियान देशों तक 80 से अधिक देशों के प्रतिनिधिमंडलों ने भाग लिया।
• प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने नई दिल्ली में राष्ट्रीय जनतांत्रिक गठबंधन (एनडीए) के मुख्यमंत्रियों और उपमुख्यमंत्रियों के एक दिवसीय सम्मेलन की अध्यक्षता की। बैठक के दौरान प्रधानमंत्री ने विकास की गति बढ़ाने की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया।

• अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प द्वारा फारस की खाड़ी का नाम बदलकर ‘अरब की खाड़ी’ या ‘अरब की खाड़ी’ रखने के अब निरस्त हो चुके कदम की ईरानी अधिकारियों ने तीखी निंदा की। ईरान ने इसे अपनी राष्ट्रीय पहचान और ऐतिहासिक विरासत पर राजनीतिक हमला माना।
• बांग्लादेश में, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अपराध न्यायाधिकरण के अभियोजन पक्ष ने रविवार को पिछले वर्ष 5 अगस्त को ढाका में छह प्रदर्शनकारियों की हत्या के संबंध में दर्ज मानवता के विरुद्ध अपराध के मामले में औपचारिक रूप से आरोप लगाए। यह वही दिन था जब हसीना देश छोड़कर भाग गई थीं।
