• मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार ने शनिवार को नई दिल्ली में भारत के चुनाव आयोग का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले परामर्शदाताओं के राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन किया। सर्वोच्च न्यायालय और देश भर के उच्च न्यायालयों सहित 28 उच्च न्यायालयों के वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ताओं के साथ-साथ अधिकारियों और 36 मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारियों ने उद्घाटन समारोह में भाग लिया।
• पंचायती राज मंत्रालय 26 मई से नई दिल्ली में पंचायत एडवांसमेंट इंडेक्स (पीएआई) संस्करण 2.0 पर दो दिवसीय राष्ट्रीय लेखन कार्यशाला का आयोजन कर रहा है। राइटशॉप का उद्देश्य डेटा-संचालित शासन के माध्यम से पंचायतों को सशक्त बनाना है।
• केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (सीबीआई) ने घोषित अपराधी अंगद सिंह चंडोक को अमेरिका से नई दिल्ली वापस लाने में सफलता प्राप्त की है। वह आपराधिक साजिश, धोखाधड़ी और जालसाजी के आरोपों पर वर्ष २०१४ में दर्ज बैंक धोखाधड़ी के मामले में सीबीआई द्वारा वांछित था।
• डीएमके सांसद कनिमोझी के नेतृत्व में भारत से रूस आए सर्वदलीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने आतंकवाद के सभी रूपों के प्रति शून्य सहिष्णुता का भारत का कड़ा संदेश दिया।

• बांग्लादेश में योजना सलाहकार डॉ. वाहिदुद्दीन महमूद ने कहा कि अंतरिम सरकार के मुख्य सलाहकार मुहम्मद यूनुस अंतरिम सरकार में बने रहेंगे, जो अपनी सौंपी गई जिम्मेदारियों को पूरा करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।
• अमेरिकी प्रशासन ने सीरिया पर लगे प्रतिबंधों को हटाने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाए हैं, इससे पहले राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प ने युद्धग्रस्त देश को उसके पुनर्निर्माण प्रयासों में सहायता देने का वादा किया था।
• अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प ने देश के परमाणु उद्योग में सुधार के लिए कार्यकारी आदेशों पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। प्रशासन का कहना है कि इससे नियामक बाधाएं कम होंगी और परमाणु रिएक्टरों के निर्माण में तेजी आएगी। इन सुधारों से प्राधिकारियों के लिए नये परमाणु ऊर्जा संयंत्र निर्माण को मंजूरी देना आसान हो जाएगा।
• संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका सूडान पर नए प्रतिबंध लगाने जा रहा है, क्योंकि औपचारिक रूप से यह निर्णय लिया गया है कि देश ने 2024 में चल रहे गृहयुद्ध के दौरान रासायनिक हथियारों का इस्तेमाल किया था। विदेश विभाग की प्रवक्ता टैमी ब्रूस ने घोषणा की कि अमेरिका ने सूडान द्वारा रासायनिक हथियारों के प्रयोग पर रोक लगा दी है।
