National Updates
- Minister of State for Rural Development Dr Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani has said that the collective vision from the brainstorming session of the 21st African-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO) would strengthen the deep bonds between Asia and Africa.
- The All-India Consumer Price Index for Agricultural Labourers (CPI-AL) for January this year eased to 4.61 per cent as compared to 7.52 per cent in the same month the previous year.
- The Reserve Bank of India has launched the Financial Literacy Week 2025. It is an annual initiative aimed at promoting financial awareness among the people. This year, the campaign runs from February 24 to 28, under the theme “Financial Literacy – Women’s Prosperity”.
- Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya held talks with the Director General of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Gilbert Houngbo in New Delhi to enhance labour welfare and social security coverage.

International Updates
- India and the UK agreed to resume free trade negotiations between the two countries. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said this while addressing the joint press conference along with the UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade Jonathan Reynolds in New Delhi.
- In Ukraine, leaders from Europe and Canada arrived to mark the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion. Travelling by train, a dozen top officials reached the capital, Kyiv, where they were greeted at the station by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and the president’s chief of staff.
- Japan and the Philippines are strengthening their defence ties amid growing concerns over China’s aggressive actions in the region. In a meeting in Manila, Japanese Defence Minister General Nakatani and Philippine Defence Secretary Gilberto Teodoro agreed to deepen their military cooperation.
- The second edition of the “India in Bahrain Festival” drew more than 2,000 visitors to Dana Mall in Sanabis, showcasing India’s cultural diversity through performances, art, and cuisine.
- In Bangladesh, a group of Dhaka University (DU) students staged a protest on the campus demanding the immediate resignation of Home Advisor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, citing a surge in crimes across the country.
- An American Airlines flight from New York to Delhi was diverted to Rome, Italy, following a ‘suspected bomb threat’. The Boeing 787-9 aircraft was carrying 199 passengers and 15 crew members.
