- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in New Delhi today. Marathi was recently granted classical language status by the government. The Sammelan will be held from today to 23rd February and will host a diverse array of panel discussions.
- The Delhi government has decided to implement the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said this while briefing the media after chairing the first Cabinet meeting of the newly sworn-in Delhi government.
- A high-level Indian delegation has concluded a landmark series of strategic meetings in Saudi Arabia, strengthening bilateral media partnerships and generating momentum for India’s upcoming World Audio-Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES 2025).
- Indian Railways has geared up to handle a surge in passenger traffic during the final week of Mahakumbh Mela by establishing holding areas at various stations in Northern Railway, North Central Railway, North Eastern Railway, and East Central Railway.

- The 55th Director General-level Border Coordination Conference between Border Security Forces (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) concluded in New Delhi. During the conference, issues like infiltration, transborder crimes, fencing at the border, smuggling, and other issues were discussed.

- In the Women’s Premier League (WPL) Cricket, Delhi Capitals defeated UP Warriorz by seven wickets at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara.
- In Table Tennis, Sreeja Akula started the day for India on a positive note as she claimed a straight game on the opening day of the Asian Cup Tournament in Shenzhen, China. Sreeja defeated Qatar’s Aia Mohamed 3-0 in her women’s singles group match.
