• The first commercial run of the Vande Bharat Sleeper train between Kamakhya, Guwahati and Howrah has received an overwhelming response from passengers. The Railway Ministry said that all the seats were booked within a few hours of opening the ticket reservation.
• India will host the AI Impact Summit from 16th to 20th February this year at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The summit will be the first global AI summit to be hosted in the Global South. It will bring together global leaders, policymakers, technology companies, innovators, and experts.
• Union New and Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi delivered the keynote address at the roundtable ‘Delivering Sustainability at Scale: Pathways for Global Transformation’ at Davos.
• Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) working president Nitin Nabin has been elected as the new national president of the party.
• The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has issued a notification declaring Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the Aravalli mountain range, as an Eco-Sensitive Zone.

• At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren participated in a CII-organised global sustainability roundtable and outlined Jharkhand’s vision for sustainable and inclusive growth.

• The Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) and the Simulation and Training Exhibition (SimTEX) opened on Tuesday at the ADNEC Centre, Abu Dhabi, bringing together international players to showcase advances in unmanned systems, robotics, simulation and training technologies.

• In Bangladesh, a Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) officer was killed, and at least three others were seriously injured after a RAB team came under a coordinated mob attack in the Jungle Salimpur area of Sitakunda, Chattogram.

• US President Donald Trump held a telephone conversation with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte about Greenland and said that he would meet several parties in Davos. He reiterated his stance on Greenland, calling it integral for American and world security at large.

• Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Gas (ADNOC Gas) and its subsidiaries have signed a 10-year liquefied natural gas sales and purchase agreement with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, valued between $2.5 billion and $3 billion, the companies said on Monday.
