India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red colour warning for very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy rainfall over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir and Uttarakhand tomorrow. • भारतीय मौसम विभाग (आईएमडी) ने कल हिमाचल प्रदेश, जम्मू-कश्मीर और उत्तराखंड में कुछ स्थानों पर अत्यधिक भारी वर्षा के साथ बहुत भारी वर्षा के लिए लाल रंग की चेतावनी जारी की है। दिल्ली, हरियाणा, चंडीगढ़, पंजाब, बिहार, छत्तीसगढ़, उत्तर प्रदेश में भी भारी वर्षा होने की उम्मीद है।
• मानसून सत्र आज से शुरू होगा और 13 अगस्त तक जारी रहेगा। सत्र के दौरान कई महत्वपूर्ण विधेयकों पर चर्चा और पारित होने का कार्यक्रम है।
• लोकसभा अध्यक्ष ओम बिड़ला ने आज से शुरू हो रहे संसद के मानसून सत्र से पहले व्यापार सलाहकार समिति की बैठक बुलाई है। बैठक के दौरान सरकार के साथ-साथ विभिन्न राजनीतिक दलों के सदस्यों ने विधायी एवं अन्य व्यावसायिक प्रस्तावों पर विचारों का आदान-प्रदान किया।

• रूस ने बैलिस्टिक मिसाइलों और ड्रोन का उपयोग करके कीव पर रात भर हमला किया, जिसमें एक व्यक्ति की मौत हो गई और 16 अन्य घायल हो गए। यूक्रेनी वायु सेना के अनुसार, रूस ने रात भर में यूक्रेन में ४१ मिसाइलें और १२५ ड्रोन लॉन्च किए।
