National Updates

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting to discuss the roadmap for Next-Generation Reforms in Delhi. In a social media post, Mr Modi said they are committed to speedy reforms across all sectors, which will boost Ease of Living, Ease of Doing Business and prosperity.

• The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) portal under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana has gone live. The scheme will provide incentive of up to 15 thousand rupees in two instalments to newly employed youth.

• External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in New Delhi. In his opening remarks during the meeting, Dr Jaishankar stated that India and China now seek to move ahead after having seen a difficult period in the bilateral relationship.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi today received a phone call from Russian President Vladimir Putin. In a social media post, Mr Modi thanked the Russian President for sharing insights on his recent meeting with the US President Donald Trump in Alaska.

• Parliament today passed the Indian Ports Bill 2025 with Rajya Sabha approving the Bill. It aims to establish and empower State Maritime Boards for effective management of ports other than major ports, establish the Maritime State Development Council for fostering structured growth and development.

• Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh reiterated the government’s commitment to establish an operational Bharatiya Antariksh Station by 2035 and send an Indian crewed mission to the Moon.

• प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने दिल्ली में अगली पीढ़ी के सुधारों के रोडमैप पर चर्चा के लिए एक बैठक की अध्यक्षता की। सोशल मीडिया पर एक पोस्ट में श्री मोदी ने कहा कि वे सभी क्षेत्रों में शीघ्र सुधार के लिए प्रतिबद्ध हैं, जिससे जीवन में आसानी, व्यापार करने में आसानी और समृद्धि को बढ़ावा मिलेगा।
• प्रधानमंत्री विकास भारत रोजगार योजना के तहत प्रधानमंत्री विकास भारत रोजगार योजना (पीएमवीबीआरवाई) पोर्टल लाइव हो गया है। इस योजना के तहत नवनियुक्त युवाओं को दो किस्तों में १५ हजार रुपये तक का प्रोत्साहन दिया जाएगा।
• विदेश मंत्री डॉ. एस जयशंकर ने नई दिल्ली में चीनी विदेश मंत्री वांग यी के साथ बातचीत की। बैठक के दौरान अपने प्रारंभिक भाषण में डॉ. जयशंकर ने कहा कि द्विपक्षीय संबंधों में कठिन दौर देखने के बाद भारत और चीन अब आगे बढ़ना चाहते हैं।
• प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को आज रूसी राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन का फोन आया। सोशल मीडिया पर एक पोस्ट में श्री मोदी ने अलास्का में अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प के साथ अपनी हालिया बैठक के बारे में जानकारी साझा करने के लिए रूसी राष्ट्रपति को धन्यवाद दिया।
• संसद ने आज भारतीय बंदरगाह विधेयक 2025 पारित कर दिया तथा राज्यसभा ने विधेयक को मंजूरी दे दी। इसका उद्देश्य प्रमुख बंदरगाहों के अलावा अन्य बंदरगाहों के प्रभावी प्रबंधन के लिए राज्य समुद्री बोर्डों की स्थापना और उन्हें सशक्त बनाना, संरचित वृद्धि और विकास को बढ़ावा देने के लिए समुद्री राज्य विकास परिषद की स्थापना करना है।
• विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री डॉ. जितेन्द्र सिंह ने 2035 तक एक क्रियाशील भारतीय अन्तरिक्ष स्टेशन स्थापित करने तथा चंद्रमा पर एक भारतीय चालक दल मिशन भेजने की सरकार की प्रतिबद्धता दोहराई।

• Leading Baloch human rights defender Mir Yar Baloch has said that United States President Donald Trump gambled with peace by considering entrusting trillions of dollars’ worth of Balochistan’s mineral wealth to Pakistan, empowering the terrorist country.

• Terence Stamp, the English actor who often played the role of a complex villain, including that of General Zod in the early Superman films, has died. He was 87.

• The International Labour Organisation (ILO) has ranked Pakistan among the worst in South Asia for wage disparities between men and women, confirming long-standing concerns about structural discrimination in the country’s labour market.

• Taiwan says, it has detected six Chinese military aircrafts, five Chinese naval vessels operating around its territory. Taiwanese Ministry of Defence said in statement that three out of six sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan’s northern border.
