National Updates

• The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has reviewed the operations of Air India and Air India Express in a high-level meeting held in New Delhi. The DGCA raised concerns regarding recent maintenance-related issues reported by Air India.

• The Jammu and Kashmir government declared all routes to the Amarnath cave shrine as no flying zone during the yatra period. According to the order issued by J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, flying of any kind of aviation platforms and devices, including UAVs, drones and balloons have been prohibited.

• Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri has said more than 10 crore 33 lakh free LPG connections have been distributed across the country under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

• Chiefs’ Chintan, a structured two-day interaction between the Chief of the Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, and former Chiefs of the Army Staff, commenced in New Delhi . The conclave aims to provide a platform to leverage the institutional knowledge and experience of the former Chiefs.

• In Gujarat, nearly 163 DNA samples of the deceased of the recent Ahmedabad plane crash have been successfully identified so far and 124 mortal remains were handed over to the family members.

• The Supreme Court observed that a Film with CBFC clearance has to be released in every state. While expressing its disapproval of the extra-judicial ban on the Tamil film Thug Life in Karnataka.

• नागरिक उड्डयन महानिदेशालय ने नई दिल्ली में आयोजित एक उच्च स्तरीय बैठक में एयर इंडिया और एयर इंडिया एक्सप्रेस के परिचालन की समीक्षा की है। डीजीसीए ने एयर इंडिया द्वारा हाल ही में बताए गए रखरखाव संबंधी मुद्दों पर चिंता जताई।
• जम्मू और कश्मीर सरकार ने यात्रा अवधि के दौरान अमरनाथ गुफा मंदिर के सभी मार्गों को उड़ान निषिद्ध क्षेत्र घोषित कर दिया। जम्मू-कश्मीर के लेफ्टिनेंट गवर्नर मनोज सिन्हा द्वारा जारी आदेश के अनुसार, यूएवी, ड्रोन और गुब्बारे सहित किसी भी प्रकार के विमानन प्लेटफार्मों और उपकरणों की उड़ान पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया गया है।
• केंद्रीय पेट्रोलियम एवं प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने कहा है कि प्रधानमंत्री उज्ज्वला योजना के तहत देश भर में 10 करोड़ 33 लाख से अधिक मुफ्त एलपीजी कनेक्शन वितरित किए गए हैं।
• चीफ्स’ चिंतान, सेना प्रमुख जनरल उपेंद्र द्विवेदी और पूर्व सेना प्रमुखों के बीच दो दिवसीय संरचित बातचीत नई दिल्ली में शुरू हुई। इस सम्मेलन का उद्देश्य पूर्व प्रमुखों के संस्थागत ज्ञान और अनुभव का लाभ उठाने के लिए एक मंच प्रदान करना है।
• गुजरात में हाल ही में अहमदाबाद विमान दुर्घटना में मारे गए लोगों के लगभग 163 डीएनए नमूनों की अब तक सफलतापूर्वक पहचान की जा चुकी है और 124 पार्थिव अवशेष परिवार के सदस्यों को सौंप दिए गए हैं।
• सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा कि सीबीएफसी मंजूरी वाली फिल्म हर राज्य में रिलीज होनी चाहिए। कर्नाटक में तमिल फिल्म ठग लाइफ पर न्यायेतर प्रतिबंध पर अपनी अस्वीकृति व्यक्त करते हुए।

International Updates

• Iran and Israel are exchanging strikes for a fifth day, with civilians in flashpoint areas facing waves of attacks. Explosions were heard in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, as the Israeli military said Iran had launched a new wave of missiles.

• Mali’s Council of Ministers adopted a controversial bill granting the head of the military junta, General Assimi Goïta, an additional five years in power.

• The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution declaring December 4 every year as the International Day Against Unilateral Coercive Measures. The resolution passed with 116 votes in favour, 51 against, and 6 abstentions.

• The United Kingdom has announced a national enquiry into child sex abuse by Pakistani-origin grooming gangs.

• In the ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings, India’s Smriti Mandhana has regained the No. 1 position for the first time since November 2019. The 28-year-old rose to the top with 727 rating points, overtaking South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt, who dropped to joint-second.

• In Football, the India Under-23 men’s team head coach Naushad Moosa announced a 23-member squad for the friendly matches against Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic. India will face Tajikistan at the Hisor Central Stadium in Hisor, near Tajikistan’s capital, Dushanbe, today at 08:30 PM.

• In Football, the Indian senior women’s team head coach, Crispin Chettri, announced a 24-member travelling squad to Thailand for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026 Qualifiers. The final squad of 23 players for the Qualifiers will be confirmed before the first match.

• The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced replacements in the Indian Under-19 squad for the upcoming tour of England.
