National Updates

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Cyprus on the first leg of his three-nation tour. He was received at Larnaka International Airport by Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides. Following his arrival, the Prime Minister proceeded to Lemesos, where he was given a rousing welcome.

• Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh announced policy reforms to enhance the Ease of Innovation and Ease of Doing Research, providing long-awaited relief to innovators, researchers, scholars, scientists and institutions across the country.

• The Indian Army has thanked the civilians for their unwavering support, deep admiration and gratitude to them during Operation Sindoor.

• The second batch of phase 2 of the National Geospatial Knowledge-Based Land Survey of Urban Habitations – NAKSHA Capacity Building Programme will be inaugurated today. Under this training programme 128 Urban Local Bodies (ULB) level and district officers have been nominated.

• In the Ahmedabad plane crash in Gujarat, a total of 250 blood samples have been taken from the relatives of the passengers and local residents so far. Out of these, 62 DNA samples have been matched, and 35 bodies have been handed over to the families of the deceased.

• Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi has said that India’s wind energy capacity witnessed a rise of more than 10.5 per cent to 51.5 gigawatts against 46.42 gigawatts last year.

• The first batch of pilgrimages for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra will reach Gangtok, Sikkim . Sikkim government has made all arrangements to welcome them. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is going to begin on 20th of June after a gap of 5 years.

• प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी अपने तीन देशों के दौरे के पहले चरण में साइप्रस पहुंचे हैं। साइप्रस के राष्ट्रपति निकोस क्रिस्टोडौलिडेस ने लारनाका अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे पर उनका स्वागत किया। उनके आगमन के बाद, प्रधान मंत्री लेमेसोस चले गए, जहां उनका जोरदार स्वागत किया गया।
• विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह ने नवाचार और अनुसंधान में आसानी बढ़ाने के लिए नीतिगत सुधारों की घोषणा की, जिससे देश भर के नवप्रवर्तकों, शोधकर्ताओं, विद्वानों, वैज्ञानिकों और संस्थानों को लंबे समय से प्रतीक्षित राहत मिलेगी।
• भारतीय सेना ने ऑपरेशन सिंदूर के दौरान नागरिकों को उनके अटूट समर्थन, गहरी प्रशंसा और कृतज्ञता के लिए धन्यवाद दिया है।
• शहरी आवासों के राष्ट्रीय भू-स्थानिक ज्ञान-आधारित भूमि सर्वेक्षण – नक्शा क्षमता निर्माण कार्यक्रम के चरण 2 के दूसरे बैच का आज उद्घाटन किया जाएगा। इस प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम के तहत १२८ शहरी स्थानीय निकाय (यूएलबी) स्तर और जिला अधिकारियों को नामित किया गया है।
• गुजरात में अहमदाबाद विमान दुर्घटना में अब तक यात्रियों के रिश्तेदारों और स्थानीय निवासियों से कुल २५० रक्त के नमूने लिए गए हैं। इनमें से 62 डीएनए नमूनों का मिलान किया गया है और 35 शव मृतकों के परिवारों को सौंप दिए गए हैं।
• केंद्रीय नवीन एवं नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्री प्रल्हाद जोशी ने कहा है कि भारत की पवन ऊर्जा क्षमता पिछले वर्ष के 46.42 गीगावाट की तुलना में 10.5 प्रतिशत से अधिक बढ़कर 51.5 गीगावाट हो गई है।
• कैलाश मानसरोवर यात्रा के लिए तीर्थयात्राओं का पहला बैच गंगटोक, सिक्किम पहुंचेगा। सिक्किम सरकार ने उनके स्वागत के लिए सभी व्यवस्थाएं कर ली हैं। कैलाश मानसरोवर यात्रा ५ साल के अंतराल के बाद २० जून को शुरू होने जा रही है।

International Updates

• India has dispatched the second and final batch of machinery for Passion Fruit Processing to Suriname under the SEEDS (Supply of Equipment for Efficient Development of SMES) initiative.

• Iran announced that its attacks on Israel will cease if Israel halts its military campaign against the Islamic Republic. Tehran’s actions, described as self-defence, followed deadly missile barrages on Israel overnight on Saturday and Sunday, which killed at least 10 people.

• The Embassy of India in Iran has issued an advisory saying all Indian nationals and Persons of Indian Origin in Iran are required to remain in touch with the Embassy and avoid all unnecessary movements.

• भारत ने SEEDS (एसएमईएस के कुशल विकास के लिए उपकरणों की आपूर्ति) पहल के तहत पैशन फ्रूट प्रसंस्करण के लिए मशीनरी का दूसरा और अंतिम बैच सूरीनाम भेजा है।
• ईरान ने घोषणा की कि यदि इज़राइल इस्लामी गणराज्य के खिलाफ अपना सैन्य अभियान रोक देता है तो इज़राइल पर उसके हमले बंद हो जाएंगे। तेहरान की कार्रवाई, जिसे आत्मरक्षा बताया गया है, शनिवार और रविवार को रात भर इजरायल पर घातक मिसाइल हमलों के बाद हुई, जिसमें कम से कम 10 लोग मारे गए।
• ईरान स्थित भारतीय दूतावास ने एक परामर्श जारी किया है जिसमें कहा गया है कि ईरान में सभी भारतीय नागरिकों और भारतीय मूल के व्यक्तियों को दूतावास के संपर्क में रहना होगा और सभी अनावश्यक गतिविधियों से बचना होगा।
