• The government has granted approval for establishing Quantum teaching facilities and laboratories in 23 academic institutions across the country. • Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal said that India remains engaged with the U.S. for a mutually beneficial trade agreement. In a social media post, Mr Agrawal stated that following the U.S. Supreme Court’s judgement invalidating reciprocal tariffs, the reciprocal tariffs are no longer in force.

• The United Kingdom and Germany have rejected US President Donald Trump’s call for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz during the escalating West Asia war triggered by US-Israeli strikes on Iran.

• The ongoing conflict following joint attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran has severely disrupted air travel between Bangladesh and the Gulf region, leaving thousands of migrant workers stranded and exposing gaps in government preparedness.

• Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defence has confirmed that it carried out a targeted drone strike on a Pakistani military camp in the Wana area of South Waziristan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The strike came in response to the overnight airstrikes by Islamabad in Kandahar province.
