  • The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave to severe cold wave conditions to continue over Northwest India during the next 5 days and over Central India during the next 3 days.
  • Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, unveiled the cargo promotion scheme ‘Jalvahak’ for boosting cargo movement on three national waterways.
  • External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova, Mihail Popsoi, today jointly inaugurated the Embassy of Moldova in New Delhi
  • Chief of the Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, engaged in a series of productive discussions with his Nepali counterpart, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of the Nepali Army, Suprabal Janasewashree General Ashok, during his visit to India.

  • Britain today became the first European nation to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), becoming the 12th member. The bloc comprises Canada and Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Brunei, Chile, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Singapore, and Vietnam.
  • Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem has confirmed that the Lebanese armed group has temporarily lost its weapons supply route through Syria following the recent fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government

  • In the Women’s Premier League, 2025 auctions were held, and Deandra Dottin, Simran Shaikh, G Kamalini, and Prema Rawat returned with the highest bids.
  • In under-19 cricket, the Indian women’s team registered a massive nine-wicket win over arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening Group A match of the Asia Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
  • In Cricket, Australia were 405 for 7 against India in their first innings at stumps, on day two of the third Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the Gabba in Brisbane.
