• जल शक्ति मंत्रालय ने पंचायती राज मंत्रालय के सहयोग से नई दिल्ली में सरपंच सम्मान राष्ट्रीय गुणवत्ता सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया। ‘विकास ग्राम से विकास भारत’ विषय पर केन्द्रित इस सम्मेलन में 22 राज्यों के 75 प्रतिष्ठित सरपंच एकत्रित हुए।
• भारतीय मौसम विभाग (आईएमडी) ने आज अरुणाचल प्रदेश, बिहार, झारखंड, कोंकण, गोवा, मध्य महाराष्ट्र, मराठवाड़ा, उप हिमालयी पश्चिम बंगाल और सिक्किम के कुछ स्थानों पर भारी से बहुत भारी वर्षा का अनुमान लगाया है।
• केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह आज नई दिल्ली में एंटी-नारकोटिक्स टास्क फोर्स (एएनटीएफ) के राष्ट्राध्यक्षों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के दूसरे राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन करेंगे। दो दिवसीय सम्मेलन प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की नशा मुक्त भारत के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता को सुदृढ़ करने के लिए एक रणनीतिक मंच के रूप में काम करेगा।
• डिजिटल इंडिया पहल, कॉमन सर्विसेज सेंटर्स के तहत वित्तीय समावेशन के लिए एक ऐतिहासिक कदम उठाते हुए, ई-गवर्नेंस सर्विसेज इंडिया लिमिटेड ने जुलाई 2023 से तीन हजार करोड़ रुपये का ऋण वितरित करने का महत्वपूर्ण मील का पत्थर पार कर लिया है।
• केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड (सीबीएसई) ने कहा कि कक्षा 10वीं और 12वीं बोर्ड परीक्षा में भाग लेने के लिए छात्रों के लिए 75 प्रतिशत उपस्थिति अनिवार्य है। सीबीएसई ने अपने नोटिस में कहा कि छात्रों की उपस्थिति अब सीधे आंतरिक मूल्यांकन से जुड़ी होगी, जिससे नियमित भागीदारी आवश्यक हो जाएगी।
• चालू सीजन में खरीफ फसलों के तहत बोया गया कुल क्षेत्रफल इस साल अब तक लगभग १५ लाख हेक्टेयर बढ़कर एक हजार ११० लाख हेक्टेयर से अधिक हो गया है। कृषि एवं कृषक’ कल्याण विभाग द्वारा जारी आंकड़ों के अनुसार, चावल की खेती में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि देखी गई है।
• रेल मंत्रालय ने निर्णय लिया है कि सामान्य आरक्षण खुलने के पहले 15 मिनट में आरक्षित सामान्य टिकट आईआरसीटीसी की वेबसाइट और उसके ऐप के माध्यम से केवल आधार-प्रमाणित उपयोगकर्ताओं द्वारा ही बुक किए जा सकेंगे।

• पिछले सप्ताह दोहा में हमास नेताओं पर इजरायल के हवाई हमले के जवाब में कतर में अरब और इस्लामी राज्यों की एक आपातकालीन बैठक हो रही है। इज़राइल के खिलाफ एक प्रस्ताव को अंतिम रूप देने के लिए विदेश मंत्रियों की बैठक के बाद कल आपातकालीन बैठक शुरू हुई।
• बांग्लादेश के जुलाई सुधार चार्टर ने राजनीतिक गतिरोध पैदा कर दिया है क्योंकि इसकी सामग्री और समय को लेकर प्रमुख दलों में टकराव हो रहा है। राष्ट्रीय सहमति आयोग में बातचीत तेजी से धीमी होने के कारण प्रारंभिक समर्थन फीका पड़ गया है।
• इस वर्ष अगस्त माह में भारत का कुल निर्यात (माल और सेवाएं) 69 बिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर से अधिक होने का अनुमान है, जो पिछले वर्ष इसी माह की तुलना में 9.34 प्रतिशत की सकारात्मक वृद्धि दर्ज करता है।
• रूस ने चेतावनी दी है कि वह अपनी संपत्ति जब्त करने की कोशिश करने वाले किसी भी यूरोपीय देश के खिलाफ जवाबी कार्रवाई करेगा, क्योंकि ऐसी खबरें हैं कि यूरोपीय आयोग यूक्रेन की सहायता के लिए जमे हुए रूसी धन का उपयोग कर सकता है। संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका और यूनाइटेड किंगडम द्वारा लगभग 300 बिलियन डॉलर की रूसी संप्रभु परिसंपत्तियों को अवरुद्ध कर दिया गया।
• अफगानिस्तान में संयुक्त राष्ट्र सहायता मिशन और संयुक्त राष्ट्र विकास कार्यक्रम ने चेतावनी दी है कि पूर्वी अफगानिस्तान में हाल ही में आए भूकंप से प्रभावित हजारों परिवार तत्काल अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सहायता के बिना आने वाली सर्दियों में जीवित नहीं रह पाएंगे।
• ऑस्ट्रेलिया बढ़ते जलवायु संकट का सामना कर रहा है, एक नए राष्ट्रीय जलवायु जोखिम मूल्यांकन में चेतावनी दी गई है कि 2050 तक समुद्र के बढ़ते स्तर और बाढ़ के कारण 1.5 मिलियन से अधिक तटीय निवासी अपने घर और आजीविका खो सकते हैं।
• सीलोन इलेक्ट्रिसिटी बोर्ड (सीईबी) के ट्रेड यूनियनों ने कल से उपयोगिता को चार संस्थाओं में पुनर्गठित करने की सरकारी योजना के खिलाफ अपनी हड़ताल बढ़ा दी है।
