National Updates

  • The ASEAN-India Tourism Professionals Exchange Programme 2025 began in Guwahati with two days of intensive interactions between tourism professionals from India and ten ASEAN Member States.

  • Amid deteriorating air quality in Delhi-NCR, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has invoked Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) after the Air Quality Index (AQI) neared the ‘Severe Plus’ mark at 450.

  • All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, conducted India’s first clinical trial of a new and advanced stroke treatment device named the Supernova Stent. AIIMS informed that Supernova is designed for the country’s diverse patient population, where strokes often strike patients.

  • The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has conducted searches at 40 locations across multiple districts and states as part of an ongoing probe in the Saquib Nachan case, connected to an ISIS-linked module.

  • The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave conditions at isolated places over Interior Karnataka and Telangana today. Dense fog conditions are also expected to prevail today over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Punjab.

  • In squash world cup 2025, India stormed into the finals of squash world cup 2025 after defeating defending champions Egypt in the semifinals in Chennai.

  • Indian wrestling star Vinesh Phogat has announced her return to competitive wrestling, setting her sights on a record fourth appearance at the Olympic Games. The announcement was made through her official social media account on Thursday.

आसियान-भारत पर्यटन पेशेवर विनिमय कार्यक्रम 2025 की शुरुआत गुवाहाटी में भारत और दस आसियान सदस्य देशों के पर्यटन पेशेवरों के बीच दो दिनों की गहन बातचीत के साथ हुई।
• दिल्ली-एनसीआर में बिगड़ती वायु गुणवत्ता के बीच, वायु गुणवत्ता सूचकांक (एक्यूआई) के 450 के ‘गंभीर प्लस’ स्तर के करीब पहुंचने के बाद वायु गुणवत्ता प्रबंधन आयोग (सीएक्यूएम) ने ग्रेडेड रिस्पांस एक्शन प्लान (जीआरएपी) के चरण IV को लागू किया है।
• अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान (एम्स), नई दिल्ली ने सुपरनोवा स्टेंट नामक एक नए और उन्नत स्ट्रोक उपचार उपकरण का भारत में पहला नैदानिक परीक्षण किया। एम्स ने बताया कि सुपरनोवा को देश की विविध रोगी आबादी के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है, जहां स्ट्रोक अक्सर रोगियों को प्रभावित करता है।
