India’s major ports have registered remarkable growth in cargo handling in the last financial year. In a statement, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways said that the country’s ports handled 819 million tonnes of cargo in the financial year 2023-24, which increased to 855 million tonnes in 2024-25.

• चुनाव आयोग ने समान मतदाता फोटो पहचान पत्र-ईपीआईसी नंबरों के लगभग 20 साल पुराने मुद्दे को हल कर लिया है, जो 2005 से विभिन्न ईआरओ द्वारा समान श्रृंखला का उपयोग किए जाने के कारण वास्तविक मतदाताओं को जारी किया गया था। तब से ऐसे सभी मतदाताओं को नए नंबरों के साथ नए ईपीआईसी कार्ड जारी किए गए हैं।
• केंद्रीय इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने नोएडा और बेंगलुरु में स्थित दो नई अत्याधुनिक डिजाइन सुविधाओं का उद्घाटन किया।
• विदेश मंत्रालय ने कहा कि केंद्र शासित प्रदेश जम्मू-कश्मीर से संबंधित किसी भी मुद्दे पर भारत की अपनी दीर्घकालिक राष्ट्रीय स्थिति है, यह कहते हुए कि इन मुद्दों को भारत और पाकिस्तान को द्विपक्षीय रूप से संबोधित करना होगा। न्यू डी में मीडिया ब्रीफिंग के दौरान एक प्रश्न का उत्तर देते हुए।।।
• रक्षा खुफिया एजेंसी के महानिदेशक लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल डीएस राणा ने ऑपरेशन सिंदूर के सफल संचालन पर 70 देशों के विदेश सेवा अताशे को जानकारी दी।
• भारत के प्रमुख बंदरगाहों ने पिछले वित्त वर्ष में कार्गो हैंडलिंग में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि दर्ज की है। एक बयान में बंदरगाह, जहाजरानी और जलमार्ग मंत्रालय ने कहा कि देश के बंदरगाहों ने वित्त वर्ष २०२३-२४ में ८१९ मिलियन टन कार्गो का संचालन किया, जो २०२४-२५ में बढ़कर ८५५ मिलियन टन हो गया।
• रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने नई दिल्ली में एक उच्च स्तरीय बैठक के दौरान भारत की पश्चिमी सीमा पर सुरक्षा स्थिति की समीक्षा की। बैठक में चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ जनरल अनिल चौहान, नौसेना प्रमुख एडमिरल दिनेश के त्रिपाठी, सेना प्रमुख जनरल उपेंद्र द्विवेदी ने भाग लिया।
• कल ‘ऑपरेशन सिंदूर’ पर ग्यारह दिवसीय राष्ट्रव्यापी आउटरीच अभियान शुरू किया गया है। बड़े पैमाने पर तिरंगा यात्रा के रूप में जाना जाता है, इस अभियान का उद्देश्य पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों की सफलता को उजागर करना है।
• भारत ने भारतीय इस्पात और एल्युमीनियम पर अमेरिकी शुल्कों का मुकाबला करने के लिए जवाबी शुल्क लगाने का प्रस्ताव किया है। भारत ने विश्व व्यापार संगठन (डब्ल्यूटीओ) को चुनिंदा अमेरिकी कंपनियों पर इस तरह के शुल्क लगाने की अपनी योजना से अवगत करा दिया है।

• संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका और सऊदी अरब ने एक रणनीतिक आर्थिक साझेदारी समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए। इस समझौते पर सऊदी अरब के रियाद में अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प और सऊदी क्राउन प्रिंस मोहम्मद बिन सलमान ने हस्ताक्षर किए।
