• रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन (डीआरडीओ) और भारतीय वायु सेना (आईएएफ) ने स्वदेशी एस्ट्रा मिसाइल का उड़ान परीक्षण सफलतापूर्वक किया। इस बियॉन्ड विजुअल रेंज एयर-टू-एयर मिसाइल का ओडिशा के सुखोई-३० एमके-आई प्लेटफॉर्म से उड़ान परीक्षण किया गया।
• सरकार देश में दुर्लभ मृदा चुम्बकों के उत्पादन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 1,345 करोड़ रुपये की सब्सिडी योजना शुरू करने की योजना बना रही है। इस संबंध में अंतर-मंत्रालयी परामर्श चल रहा है।
• राष्ट्रीय जांच एजेंसी (एनआईए) ने आईएसआईएस पुणे स्लीपर मॉड्यूल मामले में वांछित एक अन्य प्रमुख साजिशकर्ता को गिरफ्तार किया है।
• सरकार ने गृह सचिव गोविंद मोहन को अगले साल २२ अगस्त तक सेवा विस्तार दिया है। वह इस साल ३० सितंबर को रिटायर होने वाले थे।
• गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने नई दिल्ली में यमुना कायाकल्प पर एक उच्च स्तरीय समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता की। बैठक को संबोधित करते हुए श्री शाह ने कहा कि दिल्ली प्रदूषण नियंत्रण समिति, डीपीसीसी को जल प्रदूषण को नियंत्रित करने के लिए एक्शन मोड में काम करना चाहिए।
• ‘एक राष्ट्र एक चुनाव’ पर संयुक्त संसदीय समिति की बैठक नई दिल्ली के संसद भवन में हुई। 39 सदस्यीय समिति में लोकसभा के 27 सदस्य और राज्यसभा के 12 सदस्य शामिल हैं।
• भारतीय तटरक्षक बल (आईसीजी) ने अमेरिकी नौकायन जहाज सी एंजेल के लिए बचाव अभियान चलाया, जो कल इंदिरा प्वाइंट, अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह से लगभग 52 समुद्री मील दक्षिण पूर्व में फंसा हुआ था।
• रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने एनसीसी पूर्व छात्र संघ की पहली गवर्निंग काउंसिल की बैठक की अध्यक्षता की।

• एनपीसीआई इंटरनेशनल पेमेंट्स लिमिटेड ने संयुक्त अरब अमीरात में भारत की एकीकृत भुगतान इंटरफेस स्वीकृति का विस्तार करने में महत्वपूर्ण प्रगति की घोषणा की है, तथा डिजिटल भुगतान प्लेटफॉर्म के एकीकरण को गहरा करने के लिए रणनीतिक पहल की घोषणा की है, क्योंकि दोनों देश अपने वित्तीय संपर्क को मजबूत कर रहे हैं।
• प्रधान मंत्री रॉसन जेलियाज़कोव के नेतृत्व वाली बुल्गारिया की छह महीने पुरानी गठबंधन सरकार नेशनल असेंबली में अपने चौथे अविश्वास प्रस्ताव से बच गई। पर्यावरण और जल क्षेत्रों में कथित विफलताओं पर विपक्षी दलों द्वारा लाए गए प्रस्ताव को 83 प्रतिनिधियों ने समर्थन दिया।
• दक्षिण कोरिया ने आज उत्तर कोरिया के परमाणु मुद्दों को हल करने की दिशा में एकीकृत प्रयासों का आह्वान किया। इसने राष्ट्रपति ली जे म्युंग की नई सरकार के तहत कोरियाई प्रायद्वीप पर स्थायी शांति प्राप्त करने के लिए प्रगति करने की भी शपथ ली।

• कल एक ही दिन में 5000 से अधिक अफगान शरणार्थी परिवार अपने वतन अफगानिस्तान लौट आये। उनमें से अधिकांश ईरान से हैं।
