• एनडीए उम्मीदवार और महाराष्ट्र के राज्यपाल सीपी राधाकृष्णन भारत के नए उपराष्ट्रपति होंगे। उन्होंने INDIA ब्लॉक के उम्मीदवार और सुप्रीम कोर्ट के पूर्व न्यायाधीश बी सुदरशान रेड्डी को 152 वोटों के अंतर से हराया।
• प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने बाढ़ प्रभावित पंजाब के लिए राज्य की किटी में पहले से मौजूद १२,००० करोड़ रुपये के अलावा १६०० करोड़ रुपये की वित्तीय सहायता की घोषणा की है। एसडीआरएफ और पीएम किसान सम्मान निधि की दूसरी किस्त का अग्रिम विमोचन होगा।
• पीएम मोदी ने बाढ़ प्रभावित हिमाचल प्रदेश के लिए १,५०० करोड़ की वित्तीय सहायता की घोषणा की

• 9 सितंबर, 2025 को दोहा में कई विस्फोट हुए, जिसकी पुष्टि इज़राइल ने वरिष्ठ हमास नेताओं के खिलाफ लक्षित हवाई हमले के रूप में की। इज़राइल रक्षा बलों (आईडीएफ) और शिन बेट सुरक्षा एजेंसी ने जिम्मेदारी स्वीकार की, जो कतरी धरती पर पहली ज्ञात इज़राइली सैन्य कार्रवाई थी।
• भारत और श्रीलंका ने मन्नार के जिला जनरल अस्पताल में दुर्घटना एवं आपातकालीन इकाई के निर्माण के लिए एक समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर किए, जिसे 600 मिलियन श्रीलंकाई रुपए के अनुदान से समर्थन प्राप्त है।
• नेपाल के प्रधानमंत्री केपी शर्मा ओली ने देश भर में व्यापक हिंसक विरोध प्रदर्शनों के बीच इस्तीफा दे दिया है। ओली का इस्तीफा तब आया जब सैकड़ों प्रदर्शनकारी सरकार विरोधी नारे लगाते हुए उनके कार्यालय में घुस आए। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने बालकोट स्थित नेपाली प्रधानमंत्री के निजी आवास को भी आग लगा दी।
• भारत, ईरान और आर्मेनिया के बीच त्रिपक्षीय परामर्श का तीसरा दौर तेहरान में आयोजित किया गया। बैठक के दौरान तीनों पक्षों ने आपसी हितों को सुरक्षित करने तथा क्षेत्र में समृद्धि एवं कल्याण को बढ़ावा देने के लिए निर्धारित लक्ष्यों की पूर्ति पर जोर दिया।
• श्रीलंका के सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने एक विधेयक को मंजूरी दे दी है जो पूर्व राष्ट्रपतियों को प्राप्त विशेष विशेषाधिकारों को समाप्त करने का प्रयास करता है। स्पीकर जगत विक्रमरत्ने ने संसद में इसकी घोषणा की।
• भारत ने अमृतसर स्थित अटारी-वागाह संयुक्त चेक पोस्ट से मानवीय आधार पर 67 पाकिस्तानी कैदियों को वापस भेजा है।
