World Bank has placed India among world’s Most Equal Societies. According to the World Bank, India’s Gini Index stands at 25.5, making it the fourth most equal country in the world, after the Slovak Republic, Slovenia and Belarus.

• विश्व बैंक ने भारत को विश्व के सर्वाधिक समान समाजों में शामिल किया है। विश्व बैंक के अनुसार, भारत का गिनी सूचकांक २५.५ है, जो इसे स्लोवाक गणराज्य, स्लोवेनिया और बेलारूस के बाद दुनिया का चौथा सबसे समान देश बनाता है।
• संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका के न्याय विभाग ने भारतीय अधिकारियों को सूचित किया है कि भगोड़े आर्थिक अपराधी नीरव मोदी के भाई नेहल मोदी को अमेरिकी अधिकारियों ने शुक्रवार को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। यह गिरफ्तारी प्रवर्तन निदेशालय द्वारा प्रस्तुत प्रत्यर्पण अनुरोध के बाद की गई है।
• केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (सीबीआई) ने उत्तर प्रदेश के संभल में तैनात उत्तरी रेलवे के एक सहायक डिवीजनल इंजीनियर और उसके अधीनस्थ ट्रैकमैन को शिकायतकर्ता से अवैध संतुष्टि स्वीकार करते हुए गिरफ्तार किया है।

• यू.एस राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प ने घोषणा की कि उन्होंने 12 देशों को लिखे पत्रों पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं, जिनमें संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका को निर्यात किए जाने वाले सामानों पर उनके सामने आने वाले विभिन्न टैरिफ स्तरों को रेखांकित किया गया है। उन्होंने प्रस्तावों को इसे ले लो या इसे छोड़ दो प्रस्तावों के रूप में वर्णित किया, जो सोमवार को भेजे जाने वाले हैं।
• वैश्विक प्रौद्योगिकी दिग्गज माइक्रोसॉफ्ट ने अपनी वैश्विक पुनर्गठन योजना के तहत 25 वर्षों के बाद आधिकारिक तौर पर पाकिस्तान में अपना परिचालन बंद कर दिया है। कंपनी ने क्लाउड-आधारित, साझेदार-नेतृत्व वाले मॉडल में बदलाव और व्यापक कार्यबल कटौती का हवाला देते हुए इस कदम की घोषणा की, जिससे वैश्विक स्तर पर लगभग 9,100 नौकरियों में कटौती होगी।
• अधिकारियों के अनुसार, अमेरिका में टेक्सास में भीषण बाढ़ आने से कम से कम 24 लोगों की मौत हो गई है और दर्जनों लोग लापता हैं। टेक्सास के गवर्नर ग्रेग एबॉट ने मध्य टेक्सास के कई काउंटियों के लिए आपदा की घोषणा की तथा कहा कि खोज एवं बचाव अभियान जारी रहेगा।
