Cold solstice or winter solstice
December 21st is shortest day of the year. Also called winter solstice (winter solstice). Winter solstice day biggest night in northern hemisphere also happens today. It’s the same date, when our Earth’s farthest from the sun. Solstice is derived from the Latin word solstine, meaning ‘the sun is stable’.Sun reaches Capricorn Circle this day. It doesn’t happen in a day. Days start getting bigger after December 25th. Days are shorter and nights larger until before. It’s said that on this date the moon’s rays go to Earth for a long time and the sun’s rays go prematurely.Earth tilted twenty-three and a half degrees on its axis, according to scientists. Sun’s distance from Earth’s northern hemisphere increases on this day. It is said in Hindi tradition that from this day the Sun enters from Dakshinayan in Uttarayan direction.
शीत अयनांत या विंटर सोलेस्टाइस
21 दिसंबर साल का सबसे छोटा दिन होता है. इसे विंटर सोलस्टाइस (शीतकालीन अयनांत) भी कहा जाता है. विंटर सोलस्टाइस के दिन उत्तरी गोलार्द्ध में सबसे बड़ी रात भी आज ही होती है. यह वही तारीख होती है, जब हमारी धरती सूरज से सबसे दूर होती है. सोलस्टाइस लैटिन शब्द सोल्सटाइन से बना है जिसका मतलब होता है ‘सूरज स्थिर है’.इस दिन सूर्य कैप्रिकॉर्न सर्किल में पहुंचता है. यह एक दिन में नहीं होता है. 25 दिसंबर के बाद दिन बड़े होने लगते हैं. इससे पहले तक दिन छोटे और रातें बड़ी होती हैं. ऐसा कहते हैं कि इस तारीख को चंद्रमा की किरणें धरती पर ज्यादा देर तक और सूरज की किरणें समय से पहले चली जाती हैं.वैज्ञानिकों के मुताबिक धरती अपने एक्सिस पर साढ़े तेईस डिग्री झुकी है. इस दिन धरती के उत्तरी गोलार्ध से सूरज की दूरी ज्यादा हो जाती है. हिंदी परंपरा में कहते हैं कि इस दिन से सूर्य का दक्षिणायन से उत्तरायण दिशा में प्रवेश करता है.
