Refractory means stubborn or rebellious. Eg: The refractory attitude will not help you much.
Variegated means of great variety. Eg: The variegated colors of the different flowers attracted everyone.
Spurious means fake. Eg: Spurious medicines are freely sold in the market.
Cursory means quite hasty, careless, superficial. Eg: A cursory glace at the thesis will convince you of the magnitude of effort put in for its preparation.
Indolent means lazy. Eg: He is so indolent that he goes on postponing decision.
Assiduous means persevering. Eg: Only assiduous persons can achieve their aim.
Rabble means crowd of vulgar and noisy people. Eg: Despite good security arrangements, a rabble had gathered outside the Minister’s residence.
Tremulous means trembling and used particularly for voice. Eg: She was so much emotionally choked that her voice was tremulous.
Unwary means incautious. Eg: If you are unwary while walking barefooted, you will injure your foot.
Bigot means obstinate. Eg: It is difficult to change the opinion of a bigot.
Forlorn means forsaken. Eg: With forlorn hope, he could not continue with his efforts.
