Antonyms

What are Antonyms?

Opposite words are antonyms. Words with contradictory meanings can enrich your vocabulary. The antonym of “right” is “wrong” and “light” is “dark”. You need to learn all the basic antonyms to talk like a native speaker. Antonyms are directly related to synonyms. Synonyms are words with similar meanings.

Antonyms can make your vocabulary more appreciable. It can also help you to enhance your writing and speaking skills. Knowing the suitable words to fit in a particular situation can save you from making unnecessary mistakes. You can use antonyms for comparison, antithesis, and description.
