• The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall today over Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, East Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Madhya Pradesh. Parts of Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Odisha.

• Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav laid the foundation stone of a defence manufacturing plant in Shivpuri. The plant will be built by the Adani Group with an investment of around 2,500 crore rupees.

• The Indian Naval Sail Training Ship INS Sudarshini sailed into New York Port to represent India at the United States International Naval Review 250 and Sail4th 250 celebrations. During the Parade of Sail along the Hudson River yesterday, the iconic three-masted barque proudly flew the Indian Tricolour.

• The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has extended the registration deadline for Navachar Mantra, its flagship national innovation platform, till the 15th of this month, providing more aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to transform promising ideas into successful ventures.

• Indonesia will commemorate the centenary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’s historic visit to the country with a 15-month programme during 2026 and 2027.

• Indian Naval Ships Udaygiri, Shakti and Kavaratti of the Eastern Fleet have concluded their port call at Changi Naval Base in Singapore as part of the Indian Navy’s operational deployment. The deployment was aligned with the ASEAN-India Year of Maritime Cooperation.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off the first batch of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026 from Tanakpur in Champawat district for the next leg of the pilgrimage. The first batch comprises 49 pilgrims, including a doctor, with 34 men and 15 women.

• Tensions have escalated in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir after one person was killed and several others were injured when Pakistan Rangers allegedly opened fire on protesters. The incident comes amid a crackdown on demonstrations demanding basic rights, economic relief and political freedoms.

• The British military said a cargo ship came under attack off the coast of Yemen in the Red Sea, the latest maritime attack off the conflict-torn Arab country. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Centre reported the attack off the coastal city of Hodeida.

• Iran’s political, military and religious leadership gathered in Tehran for the funeral prayers of former Supreme Leader Late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. State television showed Khamenei’s three sons, Masoud, Meysam and Mostafa leading funeral prayers at Grand Mosalla in Tehran.

• North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has overseen tests of a cruise missile and other weapons systems of the country’s new naval destroyer. State-run media reported today that Kim observed the tests of the 5,000-ton warship Kang Kon on Friday.

• In the Wimbledon Tennis, American Jessica Pegula defeated compatriot Iva ⁠Jovic 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 in the Women’s Singles to reach the quarter-finals in London.

• केंद्रीय मंत्री ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया और मध्य प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री डॉ. मोहन यादव ने शिवपुरी में एक रक्षा विनिर्माण संयंत्र की आधारशिला रखी। इस प्लांट का निर्माण अडानी ग्रुप द्वारा करीब २,५०० करोड़ रुपये के निवेश से किया जाएगा।
