• The Indian Navy received Malwan, the second Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft, built by Cochin Shipyard Limited at Kochi. The Ministry of Defence informed that the vessel has been indigenously designed and constructed as per Indian Navy specifications.

• Government appointed new Secretaries in different Ministries and Departments. 1992 batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre, Chanchal Kumar, has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

• The Defence Ministry today signed a 1,950 crore rupees contract with Bharat Electronics Limited- BEL for the procurement of two Mountain Radars for the Indian Air Force in New Delhi.

• The Department of Personnel and Training, the Capacity Building Commission, and Karmayogi Bharat will organise a week-long Sadhna Saptah from the 2nd of next month in New Delhi.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Samrat Samprati Museum in Koba, Gandhinagar, on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. The museum is dedicated to Jain history and the life of Samrat Samprati, his rule and the message of Non-violence.

• US Secretary of War and Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth, said that the upcoming days of war with Iran will be decisive. During a news conference, his first in nearly two weeks, he said talks on ending the conflict were gaining strength even as the more than month-long US-Israeli military campaign.

• Fighting in southern Lebanon intensified last afternoon as Israeli ground forces pushed deeper into border areas, with casualties reported on both sides and fears growing that the conflict could widen further across West Asia.

• Air defence systems across the United Arab Emirates remain on high alert after a fresh wave of Iranian missile and drone launches was intercepted over the past few hours, according to security updates. Authorities said UAE air defences successfully engaged eight ballistic missiles, four cruise missiles.

• Australia’s online safety watchdog said it was considering moving to court against several social media platforms, alleging they are not doing enough to keep Australian children younger than 16 off their mobile applications.

• At the Asian Boxing Championships, India’s Priya recorded a dominant 5-Nil victory on the second day of the tournament at Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia. In the women’s 60kg category, Priya recorded a unanimous 5-Nil triumph over Kazakhstan’s Rimma Volossenko.

• Defending champions India will take on Bhutan in the semi-finals of the SAFF U20 Championship at the National Stadium in Male today. India advanced as Group B leaders after a 3-nil win over Pakistan and a 1-1 draw with Bangladesh.

• भारतीय नौसेना को कोच्चि में कोचीन शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड द्वारा निर्मित दूसरा पनडुब्बी रोधी युद्ध उथला जल यान मालवान प्राप्त हुआ। रक्षा मंत्रालय ने बताया कि जहाज को भारतीय नौसेना के विनिर्देशों के अनुसार स्वदेशी रूप से डिजाइन और निर्मित किया गया है।
• सरकार ने विभिन्न मंत्रालयों और विभागों में नए सचिवों की नियुक्ति की। बिहार कैडर के 1992 बैच आईएएस अधिकारी चंचल कुमार को सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्रालय में सचिव नियुक्त किया गया है।
• रक्षा मंत्रालय ने आज नई दिल्ली में भारतीय वायु सेना के लिए दो माउंटेन रडार की खरीद के लिए भारत इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स लिमिटेड-बीईएल के साथ १,९५० करोड़ रुपये के अनुबंध पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
